Description: Star chef Devin Hashimoto, whose talent for marrying Japanese flavors with French technique earned critical raves as chef de cuisine at Alex Stratta’s five-star temple of haute French dining, now brings his deft modern touch to the Mizumi experience. Like its sister restaurants at Wynn and Encore, Mizumi is dramatic to the eye, a sweeping space framed by panoramic views of a tranquil lagoon and Zen-like gardens. Sliding glass panels open onto two majestic waterfalls, each cascading into a shimmering koi-filled pond. A diverse range of imaginative and authentic dining experiences are available here - from Hashimoto’s a la carte menu of creations both classic and trendy to the authentic robata grill cooking, the more theatrical teppan yaki room where chefs prepare multi-course dinners tableside, or the superb sushi and sashimi bar offerings. With its iconic waterfalls, stunning décor creative Japanese fare, this oasis of tranquility offers world-class dining in the heart of Wynn.

“Is Mizumi the best Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas?”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Food is not just for the sense of taste. Humans have four other senses. Mizumi recognizes this and takes in all the senses. Mizumi is visibly stunning. The combination of the Asian reds, and the waterfalls and pool are a sight to behold. We sat near the waterfall, and the soothing sound of the water cascading into the pool was augmented the overall dining experience. The question is: Will the remaining senses be satisfied?

We had a group of four having a thank you dinner. The wine selection was extensive and excellent. The wines easily paired each course. The sushi and sashimi was the freshest I have had in Las Vegas. The rice was not overwhelming, and the sashimi was sliced to perfection.

Service can take the most wonderful food and turn it into the most dreadful experience. Mizumi's service was a true compliment to the food and atmosphere.

Clearly, the remaining senses were satiated!

“Expected more”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

We stayed at the Wynn on this trip for a couples getaway/40th birthday weekend. The food was ok at mizumi. It wasn't bad, just wasn't a place I would rush to get back to. Our group of 8 had several different types of food, from rolls to big entrees. The roll I had was good, but not the best sushi I've ever had. If you want really good sushi in Vegas, hit Yellowtail in the Bellagio.

“Top notch food, but pricey”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

Mizumi occupies the space that used to be Okada and shares similar Japanese oriented Asian fusion type cuisine. The restaurant is a little redder and brighter than Okada, but the decor is very tasteful. The room still has a large ventilated picture window with a nice view of a waterfall and reflection pond. The food was very well executed. We had a variety of sashimi and sushi style dishes, black cod, udon bowls, and a nice variety of robata grilled meats and vegetables. The service was friendly, enthusiastic, and with just the right amount of attention. The bill was on the higher side for this genre, but I have to say we had an excellent dining experience.

“If You like Nobu and Zuma, You will love this place”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

One of the best modern Japanese out there. The food and service were impeccable. The setting was of course a bit las vegas with a steve wynn over the top twist but in terms of food the restaurant really delivers. The signature lobster roll as well as the rib shanks were exceptional and the deserts amazing especially the one with the mask ( you will see it when you get there). In a nut shell one of the most memorable meals I have had in along time.

“Good food and setting but service a bit slow”
Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

Lovely decor and setting with waterfall and koi pond outside. Menu was extensive and they had a good vegetarian selection too. We had tempura, hand cut roll and cucumber and seaweed salad, all were delish though roll could be a bigger portion for the price. Service was a bit slow, even though the place wasn't all that busy, but that didn't spoil it for us as we were in no rush.
