Have just arrived back in the UK and did the breakfast ride about 2 weeks ago. When we looked into a riding experience it was a toss up between red rock canyon and this desert trail ride (which was about $20 less. We chose the breakfast ride with cowboy style breakfast as this suited our body clock (which was still on english time). We had no probIem with the pick-up and though we were told it would be a man in a cowboy hat, the fact that it was a very delightful lady does not seem to me to be a reason for complaint!! Admittidly, when we first pulled into the ranch I was a little apprehensive as it did not look like a setting for a 2 hour desert trail but I guess this was just to match us up to the horses as we were then driven on to another point 10 minutes away which was the start of the desert trail. We were then informed that whilst the cowboy breakfast was indeed on offer for the end of the ride, if we prefered, we could also opt for a buffet at a nearby venue. Thinking we might be very hungry by the end of the ride we chose the buffet option, but I must stress we were given the choice of either.
We then realised we had forgotten our camera, Jackie (the owner) gave her's to our guide Jimmy and instructed him to take photos throughout the ride which she would then email onto us.
Jimmy was excellent company as well as a brilliant guide, though we were virtual beginners he gently encouraged us to try trotting, without making us feel pressured or uncomfortable. We had a superb time and would highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking for a relaxed and fun day out. We fully intend to rebook when we next visit Vegas. The photos were sent through by the end of the day and are a great reminder of a great time

Was fun to get on a horse again, but we only walked through the desert with very little cool terrain other than the mountains in the distance. Next time, I will request a private trail ride where maybe we can get a little more senic views & a more adventuresome horse.

My girlfriend and I booked a sunset ride through the desert... We found it to be one of the most memorable experiences we encountered while we were here in Las Vegas. If you are looking for something to make your trip really unique and get what you expect - then The Sagebrush Ranch Trail Rides are exactly what you are looking for. The guide is friendly, professional for a cowboy, :-) and was very knowledgable. The ride starts out on a trail with the mountians in view at all times. You pass through a beautiful park with a pond fed by a natural spring. The park has history back to the 1800's and an original Adobe building that is still standing (somewhat), but it totally adds to the encounter of being out in the desert. What really makes the ride are the awe-inspiring views most wouldn't expect to see near a major metropolitan city. In contrast to the bright lights and hype of the Strip, Sagebrush Ranch Trail rides offer desert beauty, towering mountains in the distance and abundant wildlife like jack rabbits, red tailed hawks, golden eagles, hummingbirds and even a few coyote's. You do not have to be an experienced rider to enjoy this activity. They can accomodate the novice to the expert rider, and create a one of a kind experience. So, if you are someone with an adventurous side, this is the place to go cleanse the soul after Sin City. You won't be disappointed.....

We were in Vegas a the beginning of September and went on the morning ride. It was awesome! We had a wonderful cowboy named Jimmy and were so well looked after by him and by Jackie who picked us up. The horses were so well behaved and so beautiful and we could not have enjoyed our ride more! We then had a great buffet nearby for our breakfast which had a huge choice! Highly recommended! Xxx

i have just got back from my sunset ride at the sagebrush ranch and want to let everyone know what a fantastic time i had!!

some of the reviews on here shock me as i couldnt have asked for any more!!!

we were picked up by a wonderful lady, she gave us a taster of what was to come, told us a bit about our horses and our cowboy! then we were met at the entrance to the ranch by our guide, zach, and driven to our trail. the horses were unloaded and we had our picture taken before the trail began.. we rode for 2 hours and enjoyed a wonderful sunset on horseback and the local wildlife, hawks and jack rabbits etc!!

our cowboy was fab! he knew his stuff made the ride good fun! we had a wonderful relaxing ride thru the desert trails! we then were driven bk to the ranch and had a home cooked BBQ round the camp fire under the moon light!

i couldnt have asked for a better trip.. worth every single penny and more!!! if you are looking for a REAL experience with real working horses then this is your place.. if you want some commercial disneyland fake cowboy experience then go to disney!!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND CANNOT WAIT TO GO BK!!! thanks jackie and zach :-)
