Jack's tips in the GPS were interesting, but could have been more informative. The Bear's Best concept is great but I would have loved to have more information about WHY these holes were chosen.

I have golfed for about 20 years now and have never experienced anything like our day at Bear's Best and that is not a good thing ! It started with the cart lady telling us on the 2nd hole that it was last call and she was done for the day at 4pm !? Really, no drinks after 4pm in Vegas ?! This was just the start, the course was super slow with no marshalls to be found anywhere. When we finished our round at 7:30pm (dusk) there was not one person in the clubhouse, the lights were all off and the doors were locked. We were now over 1/2 from the Strip where we were staying with no way to contact a cab to get back. We had to borrow the phone from one of the cleaners who were working in the clubhouse after knocking on the door for awhile and getting their attention. We sat on the curb outside the clubhouse for an hour in the dark waiting for a cab after the round. It would have been nice to sit in the clubhouse admiring the Nicklaus memorabilia, having a drink and talking about our round but alas it was not to be. Terrible experience and a 7 hour waste of time on our Vegas vacation. Bali Hai and Royal Links which we played the 2 days previous were exceptional in their service and great courses.

The location for this golf course is breath taking to say the least. The views can't be beat! Unfortunately the greens were like a pool table. They were hard and seemed dry. What should have been a nice shot onto the green turned into a bounce that ended far from the pin. Putts were extremely hard due to the hard surface.

From the bag drop to the "19th hole", Bear's best employees make you feel like a million bucks! The course was in great shape! The grass driving range was fully stocked in balls and the round was played in less than 4h30.

Only issue was with the cart GPS , where the yardage in a couple of holes were definitely off. Only cost me 2 strokes!!!!

Great deal at a 100$
