Stayed here August 2013 for 3 nights. No frills, but good value for the price. Excellent location, next to Venetian, centrally located on the strip. Can't give this a 5 star rating because there is only 1 elevator and its a bit of a walk from the parking garage. Also, no microwave in room so I could not even warm up a slice of pizza. But was very happy that the hotel rooms are in a building behind the casino, so we could walk directly to the strip instead of through the casino. First time in Las Vegas, and found out that everyone walks through the air-conditioned casinos on the strip in the summer instead of out on the sidewalk in the heat. The ticket counter for discount tickets is right in front of the Casino Royale and if you get out there by 9am, there is not much of a line at all. They even gave out umbrellas to folks waiting in line who needed protection from the sun. Room was clean, comfortable. If they are able to add a continental breakfast somehow, this place would be a real winner.

The rooms were fine- relatively modern decor and bathroom, clean and spacious enough for two. We had consistent issues with the wifi, it seemed to only work very late at night or in the morning, perhaps from too many people using it? We also had difficulties getting our air conditioning/heating to work. On our final morning there the power supply in the bathroom also stopped working. This hotel has no main driveway like the other hotels in the area which makes tour pickup, airport shuttle pickup/drop off etc difficult. Despite these however we were happy enough to have stayed here as we got the feeling from the other accommodation on the strip which we researched that we couldn't do too much better in the area for the reasonable price we paid.

Stayed here for 2 nights Jan 10-12. Room with 2 double beds. Hotel is 100% non smoking in the rooms, but you can of course smoke in the casino or outside. No balconies, no breakfast (but they have subway, outback steakhouse, and Ben & Jerry's onsite. The room was really clean as are all best westerns, the beds were double beds so a little small for my liking. They were kind of too stiff for me too and I didnt like that they had feather pillow and comforter, so I couldnt sleep all too well. The Casino was fun, They have a lot of fun games and its real chill. They have a little shop in the front and its right in the middle of the strip, Its a great location, Harrah's is next door and the Venetian. The parking is kind of tricky, I suggest if you're from out of town to call the hotel ahead of time and get directions for parking. Overall it was a great stay, and I would definitely return. Also, The Dennys on site is closed for remodel, on the website it says 2014 so who knows how long it will stay closed, but there are a ton of other spots as well as Denny's on the strip :)

Room Tip: They have only a single King room or a 2 Double (full size mattress) room.

This hotel is a hidden gem on the strip. Great for those who want to save money but still stay on the strip without all the resort fees and hidden charges. It was great for a solo traveler like me, but also would be just fine for friends traveling together. This hotel is directly between Harrah's and Venitian Resorts and right across the street from the Mirage and the free Mirage volcano/fire night show.

The biggest thing I noticed, and if you've been to Vegas before you'll understand...this hotel has the fastest and easiest "sidewalk to room" walk. You literally walk in the front door by the McDonald's entrance and you are less than 50ft (15m) from the hotel section entrance. All other resorts i've stayed at force you to walk through their casino floor and restaurants before u get to the hotel section, so this is a big plus.

The rooms are just a normal style room, no big frills but they are clean and updated and comfortable. The grounds were nice and clean too, you still feel very much like you are on the strip when you look out the window and see the giant buildings next door. I will for sure stay here again when I go to Vegas.

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the casino entrance, my room was the farthest away...not a far walk, but wo...

As apparently it is with all hotels in Vegas one must run the smoke filled gauntlet of a casino to reach the check in desk. The taxi drop off is behind the property and then one must drag any luggage (thankfully I only had a small rolling computer case) through tight areas choked with smoking people playing slots. Once at the small check in area we were greeted by some wonderful and very helpful women. Check in was quick and once to the room it was wonderful. The room was very comfortable but there is not the usual continental breakfast provided, nor any discounts for the local restaurants. I would stay there again however as it is affordable especially for it's location.

I opted for a quiet room on the bottom floor of the back side. It had no view and was a bit cave like, but it was quiet and clean. The bed was well appointed and comfortable. It served as a economical retreat after a day at the convention center.
