We are Wyndham Timeshare owners and this was our second visit. We were not disappointed.
Wyndham Grand Desert is a great Timeshare Resort just off the strip. It is away from the casinos so it is quiet... but not too far. Great for families.

The "rooms" are big! We are a family of 3 and we stayed in a 1 bedroom deluxe.
We saved some money by eating some meals in our unit. The amenities are great--washer, dryer, full kitchen.
Why waste money on other hotels when you can stay in here and have a kitchen, living room, dining room and bedroom?

They have a free shuttle that runs every hour and drops you at Harrah's on the Strip. We had a car rental (since we are driving to California) so we never used the shuttle.

Free WiFi. The pool area is very nice. They have some activities for kids in the resort to keep kids entertained.

The place is beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing, quiet place to stay in Las Vegas and to Families with young children.

Great place to stay off the strip, but not too far. You can drive Koval Rd, and end up by the Mandalay Bay, which is great for avoiding traffic. You can also go down Koval toward downtown, or Paradise Rd. This made the Wyndham a key point for doing all kinds of trips in Vegas.

It's true you have to drive to the casinos, but it's not far and the parking for most casinos is free. Very close to Ellis Island Casino for food, as well as the Hard Rock. Walking distance to a bunch of other restaurants too.

Premises are clean, and security always seemed to be nearby. Pool and hottubs were nice.

Staff was very friendly and always helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a nice view of the pool. It was good to see how busy it was.

Stayed here in early January and the hotel was great. We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit and it was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff was great and very helpful with every thing that we needed. The free shuttle was a big plus and saved us money on cab fare. The only downside was that it is a little ways off the strip but its only a 5-10 minute walk to the strip. I will definintly stay here again when I travel to Las Vegas.

Nice resort. I would definitely want to stay here again. The staff is really friendly and the rooms are big. I hope to come back here again soon to try the heated pool!! There are plenty things to do here. The kids can play in a large game center. The location is good. It's very close to the strip. There's also a free shuttle to harrahs.

Although it is not located directly on "The Strip", it is definitely close enough to feel like you are in the craziness. They have a free shuttle that runs on the hour, and drops you at Harrah's on the Strip. It is a nice little oasis to come back to at the end of the night, when you want some peace and quiet to get some rest. There is a little café on site that is pretty good. Staff was extremely nice and helpful.

My husband and I and another couple came to Vegas and stayed in the 1 bedroom with pull-out. We were guests at the property using a timeshare. This place was absolutely amazing! I could have spent every day just staying at the hotel and pool area. The staff was great! Every person we talked to there was friendly, happy, and made our stay unforgetable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! The shuttle was great and very convenient, not far off the strip, always running on time! We do not have a negative thing to say it was just simply amazing :-)

We got a RCI last minute deal for a week in a 2 BR unit - It was a lot of fun. The unit slept 8 but we only had 6. No problems, there was plenty of room. Might be a bit tight for 8.

Kitchen amenities were fine - sharp knives, non-stick fry pan etc. Everything worked fine. Need more coffee filters? Just ask. Dish soap? - no problem.

Two Baths one with a jacuzzi type tub. Towels seemed to be in short supply before the week was done but just call housekeeping and voila.

Limo available for just the cost of a tip. Used it to come home from the Rio one night after dinner. Lots of fun.

Shuttle to Harrah's is nice. Walking distance to Ellis Island, MGM City Center, Hard Rock etc.

Indoor Parking available. Nice pools including one just for the adults. One problem the water gate in the hot tub needed to be cleaned.

Downside? not really anything to mention. Anything that needed attention got it immediately - it also got a followup phone call to verify that it got it immediately.

Room Tip: Stay off the third floor in tower one - it has the sales people, the gift shop, the coffee shop etc.
