This facility is decent enough: big rooms, comfy bed, ample free parking. However, it is a bit out of the way and with all of the other nice places to stay in Vegas, you can do better.
The really disappointing part of our stay was the timeshare (Hilton Vacation Club) meeting and promotions. We thought we'd give it a try due to the strong Hilton name. Big mistake.
They were very limiting on when you could schedule the meeting (10:00am or 3:00pm = right in the middle of your vacation day). They GUARANTEED that it would only last 2 hours. They PROMISED it would only last 2 hours. They kept us 2 hours and 35 minutes! We were told that the $200 Hilton voucher we would get would be good towards a future stay (multiple nights up to a total of $200). It's only good for 1 night. The sales pitch was an extremely hard sell. She wouldn't take "no" for an answer, even after I laughed at the $49 online reservation charge and the 17.5% interest rate they wanted to charge!
So the only way I would suggest staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation Suites at the Las Vegas Convention Center is if you can get a good rate and NOT have to attend the timeshare sales meeting.More
