Hilton Grand Vacations on Paradise (Convention Center)

Stayed here for 2 nights for a recent trade show at Las Vegas Convention Center which was only about a 15 minute walk. The hotel is well off the strip, but didn't mind the short cab ride. Lots of positives for the business traveler:

* Great beds, very comfortable
* very quiet
* amenities like fridge, microwave, small kitchenette (I had a King Studio)
* great HVAC system (I like cranking down the air at night and running the fan to drown out any background noise)
* one of the better showerheads I've come across
* great little deli with reasonable prices - Starbucks coffee counter, breakfast sandwiches, mini-mart with beer/wine
* good wifi (free)
* social/games lounge with pool table & pinball machine and then another quiet lounge

That's about it - you really can't go wrong with this place for business travel

Room Tip: I was on the 11th floor with a room facing East - great view of a golf course out back

This has defintely become my favorite place to stay when going to conventions. Its quiet, off the strip - a family place. no gambling, no breakfast although there is a convenience store that does basic breakfast. We usually walked towards the convention centre (10-15 minutes) and had breakfast at a nearby hotel/casino - typical buffet.
Nice patio, pool area -very friendly staff - great place.

Stayed here for 5 nights and the hotel was pretty good. Average rooms size but everything clean and tidy. Its a pretty good hike to the strip so have your walking boots ready Quiet rooms if thats your thing. I didnt visit the gaming room but was told it was just like all the rest in Vegas. Breakfast was very good.

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback. Our activity room has a pool table, ping pong table, movie rental and a few arcade games that our guest can enjoy while they are staying with us. It sounds like everything was to your liking and hope that you will visit us again soon.

We enjoyed our stay very much at Hilton Grand Vacation Suites/Convention Center. There is free Wifi, no resort fees, and free parking right in front of the hotel. We had a one bedroom suite, which was clean, decorated very nicely, and quiet. The staff was so nice. There is a deli, with fresh food on the premises. You can walk half a block to the LVH, and ride the tram to the hotels on the strip, and we did this several times. There are two flat screen TVs, in living room and bedroom. Large roomy bath, and closet, and jacuzzi tub, in the one bedroom suite. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were very nice. I wish there had been a balcony, but you can go down to the pool and sit at the tables or lounge chairs. Will definitely stay there again. We got a great air/hotel package through Expedia.

Room Tip: The one bedroom suite is huge and so nice.

I'm staying in Vegas solo and wanted a weekend away from everything and everyone to relax and catch up on work. I'm also a diamond Hilton member, but that doesn't mean that much if you stay at GV properties as they operate differently. Yes, you'll be thanked for being a diamond member, given some water and rewarded with points, but that's about it.

I booked a studio king here as it was only me. Upon entering the room, I was like ... okay ... a bit compact, small bathroom, definitely not as nice as the elite properties or even the Elara, at which I was with friends the weekend prior. But then I realized I was paying $63.20 a night and the perspective changed. Clean room, new furniture, free parking, decent facilities ... I was very happy.

Overall also quiet with great insulation in the windows ... except when my neighbors were back. The studios have a connecting door. It doesn't seem to have enough insulation, I could hear a light cough. Luckily they didn't engage in the horizontal tango during my stay, or if they did, it was super quiet.

I tried an Italian sub downstairs in the deli. A bit pricy at just under $15 with a tall Starbucks mocha but good quality.

Aside from that not too many disturbances ... aside from a message to pick up a welcome package followed by a phone call. The wireless internet generated speeds of about 4 mbps which was sufficient for my needs.

The one thing I would have preferred though is a proper work desk, especially that the property is close to a conference center where likely professionals may chose to stay.

We were back at the HGVC Karen Avenue again this year for 6 nights. We found the resort to be excellent just like our previous stay. The unit was well kept and the staff friendly. As we have a car, the off Strip location was fine.
The whole complex is well run and security is good even though the CES was being held next door at the Convention Centre.

This is the first Hilton Grand Property we ever stayed at when we joined the program back in 1999. We have stayed here over the years and have watched the property grow and expand. The views are all good, but thse time we were on the end and had a view of the moutains to look at in the morning. WOW! We were also there during the CES and other conventions and had to actually see people in the hallway to be sure we weren't the only ones at the resort. It was that quiet enen full! Todd did a great job with the redesign. Showers, activty room and general reddesign of the suites are all a plus. Glad we own here! Don't mind the maintance fees when you see thinigs being done.
One thing that impressed us is that the staff here, as well as the other Hilton resorts in LV, has gotten involved with one of the local schools to do projects for the kids who go there. They give their own time and do fund raisers to help the kids. Quite impressive.
As for the resort staff, they do an outstanding job. Maybe we're a little predjudice as we think of them as our family, but they do an excellet job. From the time you walk in until you check out, they all go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special.
As for the location, you do need a car or to use public trans as it is about a mile from the strip, but it is right next to the convention center. It's also an easy drive down Paradise Road or out Sahara Ave to get to many locations. There is a tram and bus stop right at the LVH. And the resort does have a deli as well as resturants at the LVH.
We would defintly stay here again when we're in town. Were here for two weeks this time and it was great.

Room Tip: Get the golf course view rooms! you'll be glad you did.
