“Nice accommodations and free parking!”
Reviewed June 7, 2011

I was attending a conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center and my husband came with me to Las Vegas. We enjoyed the nice accommodations at the Hilton Grand Vacations with a fully equiped kitchen, soft bed, large bathtub, and free parking! Most hotels charge for parking, so it was a breath of fresh air to have a large parking lot with plenty of open spaces and no charge daily. There was a security guard patrolling the lot as well. Also, my mother had a facial and pedicure at the Hilton Grand Vacation Spa (on the Las Vegas strip) and she received excellent service.

Stayed her with my family for 5 days. We had a 2 bedroom suite on the highest floor. It was a very well kept hotel. The rooms where huge. The kitchen was functional that has everything we needed. The main bedroom had a spa bath which my aunt loves. We had washer and dryer inside and a living living and dining area in between rooms. Staying here was very comfortable. They have sofa beds in the living room and in the second bedroom. The hotel's amenities was good. The only thing that would make this a perfect hotel was if it was a bit closer to the strip. A plus is their free WIFI connection. All in all it was a wonderful stay.

Duration of Stay: 3 nights, May 27 - May 30
Occupants: Myself, 6 mo. pregnant Wife, 9yr old Son, Sister in Law, 2 friends
Accommodations: 1 Bedroom Suite

This resort is a little hidden but still easy to find, just remember it is on the corner of Paradise and Karen. Check-in was easy and the lobby is just excellent and clean. After checking in, our family approached the elevator and found that an inconsiderate person put out his cigarette butt in the elevator but other than that, my pregnant wife and my 9 year old son never ran into an incident where they smelled smoke. The resort staff quickly addressed the problem.

Concierge was rude. We asked her questions about various shows and wanted to compare pricing between different seats. Our whole conversation did not even go on for 5 minutes and she just asked if she could help the person in line without even completing our conversation. I decided to order tickets through the Monte Carlo website instead of through her.

Once we arrived in our 1 bedroom suite, we unpacked and went grocery shopping. It only cost our family approximately $60.00 to shop for all of us. That food provided breakfast, lunch, and late night snacks. We chose to shop at the nearby Smith's. When we got back we put all the food in the full-size fridge and found that the kitchen is already equipped with plates, eating utensils, pots & pans, dishwashing liquid, dishwashing scrubber, you name it. I cooked breakfast and lunch in the kitchen everyday for the family.

Using the grill near the poolside is easy. Just go to the Deli to check out the BBQ utensils which include tongs, spatula, and grill scrubber. I grilled BBQ ribs and corn for the family. We later played ping pong in the recreational area. I wanted to use the pool table but my son was getting sleepy.

The swimming pool is heated and has 2 Jacuzzis. Bathroom had 2 sinks so my wife and I were able to both brush our teeth, etc... at the same time.

Overall, this stay was excellent. No smoke, no gambling, quiet atmosphere, and still close enough to the other casino hotels so that my wife and I could enjoy some shows!

Nice option, not too far from the strip. Took about 5 mins to get to the strip by taxi. Suites are large and therefore more suited for families or larger groups. No restaurant though in the hotel, but there's a small store where you pick up stuff to toss up a quick breakfast in the morning.

There was a pool, which seemed to be pretty popular with the guests right thru the day.

The Hilton Grand on Karen is not so grand as it is comfortable, clean, and safe. It has a nice pool and hot tubs with towel service, a game room, a quiet room, a big tuck shop, and helpful staff. It is small scale luxury with a good vibe. Kids went to the game room in the lobby on their own. We never felt they would get lost or run into trouble.

Our 2-bedroom suite was small but it contained everything we needed for a week's stay. There were 8 of us including the kids. One couple felt it was too crowded and opted for their own room. Hotel was able to find one for them down the hall and gave them an excellent rate. We were all very happy.

When we needed extra linen and supplies, housekeeping was quick to bring them.

Vegas is not a big city but you still need a car if you plan to do things off the strip. I love that the hotel is a little away from the strip but still reachable within minutes by car. In fact, not sure driving on the strip is a good idea given all the cars and people not knowing where they want to go, and you really need to walk through the strip and hotels to take in all the free shows.

We stayed here for my sisters wedding. The front desk was very friendly and helpful all druing our stay. The rooms are nice and clean. There is no mall or shopping in this hotel, so if that is what you are looking for then this would probably not work for you, but overall I would recommend and go back to stay there again. It is not on the strip, but we loved the location. It was right on Monorail so getting to the strip was no problem. It was actually very nice to get away from the strip for a bit.
