it wasn't nearly as good back then. The current owners (surprisingly from China) has taken it to a whole new and improved level. The food is reasonably authentic with slight room for improvement. Service was warm and friendly with good suggestions made, the owners speak Cantonese and are a joy to work with if you are fluent in that dialect. We dined there twice on our latest trip to Sin City, we had their Curry Sea Bass, their Island Jumbo Prawns and their Sambal Kang Kong. Everything came well prepared and tasty although not as spicy as we're normally used to. Next time we'll ask them to spice it up a notch, they suggested this and for sure we'll do this on our next trip south.
The Jumbo Island Prawns were large and not overcooked, servings were huge. we really had to force feed ourselves in order to clean up our plates and even then we had to leave a few tasty morsels behind. No point taking cooked food back to a hotel room with no microwave, plates or eating utensils. Compared to an ultra popular place like the Lotus Of Siam, there is no comparison, we'd rather come here any time. Way better food and miles better service. Give it a try, it's quiet, you won't have to crawl over broken glass to get a table and you can be sure the food is authentically prepared, served hot and with a smile.
