“Good value, good location”

My husband and I had never been to Vegas and really had no idea what to expect. That being said, we are very glad we chose the Tuscany as our place of rest. It was close enough to the strip that we could walk there with ease and it was far enough away that you had peace and quiet at night to sleep. The pool was never full and it was always clean! The value was great! Resort fees left a bad taste in our mouth though because there wasn't anything special added to the hotel that you wouldn't get anywhere else but you will find that at any hotel in Vegas. We would stay here again for sure.

Flew into Las Vegas for a 20 hour ordeal of a dinner meeting, an early morning breakfast and a return trip to the airport at 1pm the next day. I had no say in the matter since I was a guest of the local school district and they were putting on a program for about 50 prospective teachers. The rooms (at least mine) were clean - so clean in fact that the chairs and couch were actually wet from being cleaned earlier in the day. With that said, the room was clean, the beds very comfortable and the bathroom was large and spotless. Our dinner meeting was in the Mexican resturant located in the casino - okay meal but nothing to write home about. All in all it was a nice place to stay but be forwarned it is not on the Strip - it's on E. Flamingo and a good hike from the Strip - not so sure I would want to walk it at night. Be sure to take a copy of your reservation with you as a number of us had problems registering once we arrived.

Room Tip: This is basically a garden type hotel with rooms in about 7-8 three-story buildings. Ask for a roo...

Over the years, we have stayed on the strip at MGM, Monte Carlo, Belaggio, Treasure Island, and Caesars. We assumed that driving through the congestion was just part of being in Vegas. We picked the Tuscany this time because they have a live band in their bar with a dance floor. We didn't want to deal with driving from Tuscany back to our hotel late at night so we thought about staying there. What a great idea! We found out that driving around didn't have to be so painful if you navigated up and down the stip using Paradise or Frank Sinatra.

We were in G209. Very spacious! It had a small kitchenette with coffee maker, but no microwave or dishes. The room was on the end so no neighbors on the other side. We got the pool view, but no balcony. Balcony suites get snatched up fast. The room temperature control was great. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Unfortunately, we were there during a group take-over and the guests were very "vigorous" so they were pretty loud at night.

The room has a safe in the closet. On the second night, we lost power to our safe. In the morning, we called the front desk and they told us that we must have accidentally hit the power off botton on the inside of the door by the hinge. My husband hit the button and the lights on the front door lit up again.

We loved the Corro Van-Such Band. We used to dance at the Bellagio, but they converted their dance floor into another gambling room. This is a great place to dance and they suggest a 2 drink minimum with no cover charge. During the band's break, they go around to the patrons and strike up a conversation. Very friendly!

The fitness room was free! Wow, in all the other hotels that we stayed on the strip, the fitness room was an extra charge. There were plenty of free weights and machines. There also was a lap pool exclusively for swimming laps. The locker room was nice and large. Plenty of towels. Plenty of room to do our circuit training.

One afternoon, the outside temperature was mid 80s. It was so nice to sit by the pool and read a book. A waitress came around to ask for your drinks if you wanted something from the bar. Also, there was plenty of shade or direct sun if you wanted it. Or, you could rent a cabana if you wanted to do so.

La Cantina was great. Food as good as my Mexican mom cooks. Their refried beans are amazing!

Marilyn's Cafe was good for breakfast.

Since we went out for most of our meals and all the entertainment, the convenience of getting in and out of the parking area is invaluable. The next time we are in Vegas we will consider staying at Tuscany again.

Room Tip: You want to have a balcony so reserve early.

You can get cheap rooms in LV, you can get nice rooms in Vegas and if you are a whale and spend thousands of dollars, you can get both. But you don't have to do that to get both. This hotel is set up like an apartment complex and the rooms are definitely like apartments with the best maid service ever. First, theres is the biggest bathroom I have EVER had in a hotel. You could fit 5 in this room at once if you are a family. One in the shower, one in the toilet room, one in the bathtub and two at the sink. The room has a large sitting area, a kitchenette area with a microwave and sink/cabinets (although it would have been nice to have a fridge) and very comfortable beds. One of the best parts is the grounds and rooms are meticulously clean and well maintained. I have never stayed in a hotel that has such consistently clean bathrooms such as these (three visits so far). There is security patrolling the lots night and day along with all the normal pool, restaurants, casinos and exercise facility.

If I could find something I would change, it would be to add free WiFi in the rooms although you can get it free in the comfortable lobby.

Now the price.

I have paid as cheap as $25/night in the Summer and as much as $45 in the Spring.

Unless somebody gives me a suite for free in the MGM Grand towers, this will always be my place of choice to say in Vegas, hands down.

Room Tip: There is no tip, ALL the rooms are great in the complex because it is about 12-15 apartment building...

The hotel is very convenient located, close enough were the action is, but not in the middle of it so you can have tranquility. A reasonable small hotel, nice, clean with ample rooms and helpful staf
The only drawback is that after paying all in advance at expedia, they ask for 35 (aprox) US extra dollar for "other fees"

Stayed a night here during conference trip to Vegas. Positive surprise!
Room was super-spacious, with 2 queen beds, kitchenette and bathroom.
Hotel area was quiet, pool area was nice and buildings were surrounded by trees.
Positive thing was that hotel had non-smoking rooms. Not all hotels in Vegas have such luxury.
Only issues were
- smell of paint in my room due to recent renovation
- a little slow reception desk service
