My stay at terribles was great overall. We were picked up at the airport by a very friendly man named Jack, who was there in about 10 minutes from our phone call. We arrived at the Hotel at about 10 am but could not get our room untill 3pm which was somewhat of a hassle, though they clearly post 3pm is check in. The lady at the front desk was very accommodating of our Room needs.( beds, floor ect.) The hotel was a little outdated in appearance. The smell of smoke in the casino was overwhelming because I don't smoke. I stayed on the the 3rd floor of the hotel and was glad to find it was smoke free. The room
Was a great size for the price, the bed was big and comfy. The only knocks on the room was the bathroom was outdated and the TV channels were HORRIBLE. The food was good at best. The breakfast buffet was not very good but the dinner buffets were much better but not great. I was very pleased with the food at the cafe. It was very cheap and of good quality, much better than the buffet. The shuttle service to the strip and airport was an amazing feature. The shuttle will drop you off or pick you up from planet Hollywood about 5 times per day from
About 8am untill 11:30 pm. The shuttle to the strip at night, to me, is a must. The homeless population in the area is high. I would not advise walking the area at night unless you are in a big group. A taxi to the south strip will run you about 7 bucks plus tip. The hotel is clearly visited by an older crowd. Me being in my 20's was by far the minority. The casino doesn't have the sexy appeal of the bigger, fancier casinos on the strip but if you are looking for the most for your dollar this is the place. Very cheap rates for a solid room and very cheap prices for average to good food.

From Juan & Denise Bautista from Chicago:
You will get excellent room service, delicious food from both resturants, pool time and palm trees to lounge under, also a hot tub to soak in and all of this is just for starters! The Casino payoffs were the best that at one point Vegas was totally paid for with the money we won back! The location being right off the Strip allowed us to get an advantage of all the local attractions! Terrible's Hotel & Casino is the best and I recommend it to everyone. They actually just remodeled the place that it looks way better that the last two time we visited. Please give them a chance to show you what we've experienced and I promise you will be glad you did!! I'd like to thank my CoMadre Jeanette and ComPadre Oscar Trevino for introducing us to Terrible's Hotel & Casino.

Pool and Hot Tub was great! The Smoking rooms are on the 3rd floor, which is great, as the rooms are quietier at night, no one stomping up above. No coffee pot, but they give you coupons for free coffee, for in the morning. Flat screen TV in room....to fall asleep to.. also they have a clock radio. If you have a problem they will try to fix it.... Shirley

This is very clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced hotel. The beds are very comfortable, the baths are clean, and the a/c is cold. I've stayed here 2 separate years in a row during August, for periods of 4 and 5 days in a row. I've also had other friends stay here after recommending this hotel for joint trips. In August of 2012 , the hotel was in the process of remodeling the first floor rooms, but the progress was fast and completed quickly. All members of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere, pool, 3 daily buffets, restaurant, and hotel convenience store are all very enjoyable. The hotel is 1/2 mile off the strip with shuttles to and from the strip and airport. We were able to use the bus transit system to visit other stores and currency exchanges. They have recently changed their policies and removed the free internet and coffee makers from the rooms. This was the only recent drawback. We will return when visiting Las Vegas. John

Room Tip: All the rooms are good. We have enjoyed staying on the 3rd floor with rooms facing the pool area.

Price and Location is very good if you plan on coming to Vegas on a budget. The room is a little worn down but has a flat screen and a seperate vanity which is pretty cool. The front desk was not very customer friendly and the phone operators were not very helpful. The cafe is above average and the prices are great. Just stay away from the buffet and you will have a nice stay.

Guestrooms.
Included in your room is free Wi-Fi, coffee maker, hair dryer, 42" plasma TVs featuring the latest "pay per view" features and video game rentals. This is a lie for sure-I called Terribles and confirmed that Wi-Fi was free and was told yes and no resort fees just a $100.00 refundable deposit. Upon arriving found out that Wi-Fi had "just changed" and was no $9.99 a day. When I questioned this was told too bad - we can change our rules - even though I booked the hotel 4 weeks prior. Their Website still says free Wi-Fi?????? even though I was told they were going to change it. But Have Not! Also no coffee makers in rooms. Hotel staff was terrible and unfriendly-especially Michael at the front desk who not only had a "I don't care attitude" he also threw the pen for me to sign the paperwork at me as well as the hotel room keys. Karla the hotel operator would not let me talk to a manager and she too had a "I don't care attitude". Very poorly marked elevators and ice machines are not close to rooms. Halls and lobby are very run down. Rooms are not bad - but do have mold in tub. Will not stay here again!!! Very poor service and they just don't care-and they "Bait and Switch" advertise one thing and then charge for it once you get there.

Room Tip: If you do have the NERVE to stay here be cautious. Nothing is close to anything - elevators poorly...

I have never stayed off strip but needed an extended stay to visit my daughter who recently moved to vegas so looked for a bargain. For my $30/night this hotel could not be beat. Hotel was clean and comfortable, hotel and pool area were quite and the cheap eats can not be beat. Nothing fancy here but why would it be for $30/night? Nice restaurants across street and Hard Rock a short walk away. Wouldn't want to walk to strip at night but they do have a shuttle. I will return based on this visit.
