I have email saying that I would be refunded, and over a week later, still no refund to my credit card. This has been a horrible property to work with. I am disputing the charges with my credit card company. I have an email documenting the cancellation of my reservation and no penalty for the cancellation, yet they don't refund my money. We had a family of nine from Australia stay at the resort in three apartments. Great location off the strip, clean with comfortable beds. It was great to have a full kitchen to prepare meals save going out every night to a restaurant. After some big days visiting the surrounding area no one felt like going out, so a meal in our room was perfect. Also had breakfast in our room each morning.
Arrived 6/5 about 9:00 - despite asking for an early check-in did not get in room until 2:00. Although resort is close to strip - don’t expect a view - most of the rooms only face each other - only 3 floors so even if you are facing strip - most likely could not see much. Our view from balcony was pleasant with palm trees, flowers and you could even see the pool one way America the Luxor the other if you stood up. Resort was gated so felt safe once inside- had a woman try to get money from us right next door when walking back from casino and threw rocks at us when we ignored her - just be aware of your surroundings. Rooms were comfortable and clean - although advertised as a Wyndham - not quite up to Wyndham standard (like at Grand Desert); however it was very nice and I would stay here again. Liked how close it was to the strip - they did have laundry facilities but you had to pay and they were downstairs on the first floor.
Nice place to stay and close to the strip. Everything was great and met expectations. Beds were very comfortable and excellent sleeping privacy. Only improvement I would recommend is better internet accessibility in the rooms.
I stayed with family in two one bedroom suites in April-May 2019
The rooms were large, well decorated and spotlessly clean with a large separate bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen area
The resort is laid out across 4 buildings around a central swimming pool and BBQ area and decorated in a Spanish southwestern style with rooms opening onto an external corridor.
The resort felt safe both during the day and at night with security staff present, but the security staff were very helpful and friendly and not intimidating as in some LV hotels.
Breakfast is served in the small lobby bar, offering a good selection of American breakfast items such as sausage/bacon bagel and a breakfast burrito plus Starbucks coffee, all at a very good price.
The Las Vegas strip is a 5-10 minute walk just past hooters and the Tropicana but the Desert Rose Resort has a much more relaxed and quieter atmosphere.
There is lots of complimentary parking available which is another advantage as many of the main strip resort hotels, such as Luxor, have now started to charge for parking.
Highly recommended for a Las Vegas stay away from the crowds and noise and without the high resort fees charged at the casino resorts.
This is the nicest Resort...10 min. Of the Strip, just behind Hooters, 15 min. By bus to the Airport, friendly staff, very clean Apartment...just amazing fecelitis, Pool, BBQ, free Computer use, free WiFi, Gym...
