This is probably our 7th stay here and will return. The staff are very accommodating. We were here to celebrate my husband's birthday and mentioned it when asked at the front desk. The young man said we will deliver your breakfast each morning - what a pleasant surprise. We had always stayed on the strip previous but once we found this oasis we have returned every year and twice this yr. We love having a kitchen and a balcony to sit out and watch the lights of Vegas. It is any easy walk to the strip. The check in is always quick and efficient. We miss Gloria and Carrie but other than that it's a great place. Our friends were staying at Bally's because of the location. The WiFi charge was 15.00 a day and 1.25 for each call. There was also the long line up for check in and no fridge. They also had to find a place for breakfast each day.

Room Tip: We always ask for a room facing the pool and on the top floor.

The hotel is nice the grounds are well kept and it's right behind hooters so it is close to the strip. This hotel has no casino and it makes it nice and quite. The morning breakfast is basic, eggs, bacon, toast, cereal...... And is just perfect for us. In the early evening they have free cocktails and a few snacks. The rooms are fully equipped with stove, oven, refrig, micro and coffee pot and all the dishes and pots and pans. We needed more pots and they brought them up to us. The only complaint I would have is that the maids don't speak English and two days in a row they didn't clean my room they said they mis understood me when I said be back In ten min. I also have to look for them for toilet paper and dish soap and they don't really clean the tub just make the bed and bring the towels. But with a call to the front desk, they are on top of it. With that said I would stay again and I would recommend it. The staff is friendly the guest were friendly. I didn't use the pool it was to cold but it looked big enough with hot tubs and a gas BBQ for the guest to use.

We stayed here based on our previous stays but we will NEVER EVER return.
Since we stayed last this place has changed. Nowadays to check in you go to the reception area, give them your credit card details, then you have to go to the concierge desk to get your key...along with a timeshare sales pitch! Bad Start.
We were in block 4 which we had never stayed in before. I'm no expert on plumbing but I hated hearing the water pipes every time our neighbours were using water. SO ANNOYING.
Breakfast, hasn't changed since our last visit so the food is still ok BUT the biggest change was the security guard that was constantly patrolling the area....Didn't look good.
This place has lost something in the past 10 months and the gem we thought we had found in Vegas has vanished. We won't return here ever again and can no longer recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Pick a different place!

Selected this hotel as we were looking for a family friendly establishment close to the strip. It exceeded our expectations. Check in was quick and efficient; concierge very helpful. Our two bedroom apartment was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Children loved the pool area. Only a short walk to the strip, but away from the chaos and traffic, the hotel was an oasis of calm!
The only slight negative was the rather chaotic breakfast arrangements. We had to get there early to avoid the huge crowd and long queues, sometimes struggling to find a seat amongst the other guests helping themselves to huge plates of food. Get there too late and you won't find much left.

stayed here for 2 weeks in October. rooms are spacious and well equipped. only cleaned once per week, but left rubbish outside, and clean towels could be available from cleaners trollies. not a problem for us.
The second night the air con kept us awake (even though it was turned off) we rang reception at 3am and the night maintenance man came up immediately. He rang reception, and we were transferred to another room immediately. Forgot his name, but he was very efficient and friendly.

Complimentary breakfast was fine, though we were always there early and got seats

Reception staff not as bad as people say. Dianetta on the info desk was very good and matched any price with trips.

We had a wonderful holiday and will return to this resort

Room Tip: top floor rooms are the quietest

This was our third visit to the Desert Rose and what a let down it was this time, we stay for 17 nights every August but this will be our last visit..
Firstly the room didnt look as clean as in the past and the first thing we noticed was the ironing board was missing, we called reception but nothing was done so had to go in person to reception the next day to get one...also no do not disturb sign which took a while to get.
The cleaners were useless and never cleaned the whole time we were there, The only thing they cleaned out was my loose change I had for the laundry room..it got to the point where I got my own toilet rolls off the cleaners trolley in another part of the hotel.
The only member of staff who was still very friendly was Gus who served the drinks and looked after the food area.
Its a shame its gone downhill but I guess we have plenty of choices when it comes to hotels in Vegas.
I hope the bosses read this and act on it.
