“DONT LISTEN TO BAD REVIEWS!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

Cant believe people have complained about this hotel! i visited here in August 2012 and i'm booking again for 2014. I visited here with my fiance and the In-Laws in which we booked a one bedroom apartment not realising the bathroom was through the bedroom. Also our balcony over looked the Hooters hotel which on weekends play loud music so asked to change rooms in which they was more than happy to do. Then we asked to up grade to a two bedroom room, which again they were pleased to help. Rooms lovely, only minor faults but overall a great place to stay. Pool was lovely and clean with hot Jacuzzi. Has BBQ area which you can use, and we did was great!..
Serves breakfast every morning and Starbucks coffee is available ALL DAY!! Staff was very very friendly. Rooms where cleaned every other day with fresh towels. Kitchens are fully equipped with everything you could possible need. Has Free WiFi available to. Overall an excellent hotel and with definitely be booking again and again!!! :D

Room Tip: two bedroom apartments have view of the strips, stay on the opposite side from hooters the balconys...

Just returned from a 3rd trip to Vegas and 3rd stay at Desert Rose. I was quite impressed this time - our last visit I was not so impressed. There appears to be some renovations which were definelty needed. On our last visit our room seemed old and dated, carpet was stained, sofa in living area looked very worn, room really needed to be updated. This time our room had new carpet, looked like a new sofa, new accents - really nice!! Someone from guest services called after we were settled in our room to see if everything was ok, if we needed anything - that was a first, we never received a call on our prior visits. That also impressed me...I will definelty stay at Desert Rose again when I return to Vegas. I have recommended this property to family and friends in the past and will continue to in the future. Thanks for a great stay Desert Rose!!

Room Tip: Ask for a 3rd floor with a view facing the strip.

We got a mixed bag from Desert Rose ranging from amazing service to a nightmare breakfast stampede.

Lots of problems with the room - noisy, locks not working, lights falling down etc, but the staff were so helpful that it was hard to complain. We were moved to a quieter room on the third floor and had a good night’s sleep.

The room had a fully equipped kitchen, microwave and fridge.
Walking distance to Hooters, MGM and the bus stop.
Cable TV and free Wi-fi.

We had a good stay overall but will probably try another option next time.

I chose this place for a 2 night stop over after flying from the UK and before setting off on a road trip to Arizona because it didn't have a casino (we're not gamblers).
I couldn't have done better. Check in was efficient and the staff friendly.
We had an apartment which meant more space than a hotel room. The bed was comfortable and we were able to sleep well as it was quiet.
On the Monday evening they provided wine and cheese for the guests in the lobby which was a really nice touch. Breakfast was adequate and complimentary.
After walking 'the strip' and visiting some hotels (as suggested by my brother just to see what they are like) we enjoyed using the pool to cool off.
Overall for location I'd highly recommend this resort if you want to be near but not in the thick of the larger action.

Desert Rose is a really good hotel both location and price vice. It’s just so close to the strip and also far enough to enjoy silence. It’s very close to the airport, about 15 USD with taxes and tip. Rooms are a good size, kitchen appliances are high quality, flat screen TVs in living and bed rooms with various channels (including HBO & Syfy) as well as free wifi are fantastic.

The only kind of bad thing about this hotel is the breakfast (and our room’s fly screen window frames didn’t fit fully but we never encountered a fly or insect despite the first floor location). There were so little choices and if you don’t eat bacon, you can only eat scrambled eggs (if you’re lucky) or cold hard boiled eggs with a fruit or vanilla yogurt. I suggest you just take whatever you want and take to your room so you can eat in peace and keep the leftovers for the afternoon or late night snack. The coffee is amazing; it’s Starbucks and available 24 hours a day. I stumbled upon the manager’s reception two times, one was nachos with melted cheddar sauce and the other one was carrots and celery sticks with a yogurt sauce. Both were really good.

Pool side is fine, it’s a bit crowded but very silent and enjoyable. Also, you can exit / enter hotel through various gates with your room card and that is a good thing, really.

Room Tip: A room facing the pool is perfect.

I stayed this hotel last day of my Las Vegas visit. I looked online the close hotel to the airport and this hotel came up. I decided to stay here and price was very reasonable.

At first we arrived this hotel, receptionists were very welcoming. There is no luxurious gold elevator, casino and resort fee in this hotel. (That is most of LV hotels.) We don't do gamble, drink a lot in the night. We were theater gore who came to enjoy LV shows. This hotel is not on the Strip, but 5 minutes from Strip by Taxi. (Even your hotel is in Strip, if you would like to go to 5 hotels away, it is 5 minutes taxi ride distance.) Our room had kitchen, living room and bed room. Everything was quite homy. They serve breakfast too that most of LV hotels don't.
So this hotel was perfect for us.

I enjoyed the stay a lot and wish could stay there longer.

We came to desert rose through Thomas cook , and we weren't disappointed. The room was very spacious and clean. We was on the top floor of 3 and had a small balcony. The kitchen was well equipped and had full sized fridge freezer, oven etc. Large bedroom and a small bathroom.
The resort is off the main strip behind mgm, which was about 10 mins walk. This was ideal for us as it was very quiet, just what we needed after a day walking around.
The only downside about the room was the airconditioning was loud so we switched it off at night.

There is a good sized pool and lots of loungers, we didn't have time to use it!

Breakfast is a busy affair but what you get is cooked well and plenty of it. We took ours to the room and made toast up there to avoid the crowds. There is choices of cereal, toast, fruit, and cooked.
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the strip stay here! Friendly, helpful staff who always had time to talk or help. Our cleaner even left us a thankyou note for the tips!
