I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the HGV @ the Flamingo. Great sized rooms, not the usual cramped room at a regular strip hotel. Friendly staff. The only negative was an outage of the AC at a time when temps were in the mid 90's. Other than that it is a great location mid strip and close to key attractions. Access to Flamingo Resort Pool is included in the price. I intend to stay there again on my next visit and will probably stay longer this time. If not for the AC issue I would have given a 5/5 rating. Technically I would give it 4.5/5 but that's not an option.

Arrived early as was allocated a room on the 4th floor (435) which had a view of the pool and away from the construction nearby. Layout of the Studio apartment was great with an open jetted tub, coffee making facilities, microwave, fridge, separate shower stall and a very comfortable bed. Rooms definitely suitable for families and longer stays (eventhough we only stayed 2 nights). Also loved the fact that you get free internet access and no resort fees.

As mentioned it is connected to the Flamingo and also a monorail stop though to get to the monorail stop is a bit of a roundabout walk having to walk to Flamingo first, up escalators and walk back towards HGVC on the pedestrian bridge to access the monorail stop. (There is however a small employee entrance that has had its locks disabled which you can walk straight down to the back of HGVC without going through the Flamingo).

We loved the fact it was central to the strip yet slightly away that you get the peace and quiet for a good night's sleep. Although the price may be a little higher compared to some of the offers by the nearby hotels it is truly a wonderful choice expecially if you have a family with you. Highly recommended. Stayed 17-19 September 2012

Room Tip: As there is construction nearby, request for a quieter room away from the construction.

When we arrived we were impressed with the resort and the friendly helpful staff. Had a lovely room on the 10th floor overlooking the pool area. The resort is in off the strip which is good.Only a short walk to the Flamingo casino for Gambling, restaurants and shops and walk through to the strip also. They have a shop/deli onsite which is handy...The Monorail is behind the resort which was great... The room was spacious, clean ,modern and had all you could want...The bed was a large king bed and was very comfortable..At night the resort was quiet and we slept well...The only thing we could fault was the huge pillows!! they were to puffy...We would highly recommend staying at this resort and would stay again on our next visit to Vegas....

Room Tip: the higher floor the better view...

We selected the Hilton Grand Vacations at the Flamingo because we wanted to attend a show at the Flamingo but were attracted to the cheaper price and the positive reviews of the HGV. The confirmation emailed to us included (toward the end of 2 pages in small print) the directions that you should turn into the Flamingo drive in. However, the drive in came up so fast that we missed it the first time around. But more confusing was that the HGV was not visible from the street or drive in and there were no signs indicating that the HGV can be found there. So we were unsure that we had the right drive in and drove around the block to confirm that the HGV actually was there (in Las Vegas traffic, we spent 45 minutes driving, stopping to ask directions, and getting back to the drive in). Once we turned into the drive in, we found ourselves continuing for 50-60 yards along the side and then around the back of the Flamingo - all without ANY sign or other indication that the HGV existed. Finally, as we turned the corner to the back of the Flamingo, there was the Hilton. We were later told that the Flamingo forbids the posting of any information acknowledging the HGV (presumably because the latter competes for their hotel guests).
Once at the Hilton, we were rewarded by a beautiful facility (both inside the hotel and the surrounding grounds), great service, and a very nice, quiet room with a kitchenette and a bedroom with adjoining luxurious master bath complete with a jacuzzi. We had read reviews of the HGV complaining of noise from the Flamingo (probably from the live band that plays at the outdoor pool), but the clerk at the HGV registration desk assured us that they stop playing by 6:00pm, and true to her word, our room was was very quiet in the evening.

My party stayed on the 16th floor and had a great view overlooking the Flamingo pool area and the HGV's own pool area.

The suite was well laid-out, and had pretty much all the mod cons a traveller expects. The living/dining/kitchen area was good and spacious.

When we arrived, the suite was not cleaned and we informed reception, who sent a cleaner to look after it straight away. However, because this was late evening there was only one cleaner on duty and it took her a couple of hours to get the suite cleaned. This did mean that after hours of travel we had to hang around waiting for the rooms to be readied. Reception comped our valet parking for the duration of our stay, so it can't be said that they didn't take the problem seriously.

The suite was generally very comfortable, and the only problem I encountered was that I found the aircon blowing into the bedroom a bit noisy when sleeping. If you're not a sensitive sleeper though, you really won't be bothered by it.

The little shop downstairs is really, really expensive, so if you need to buy your milk and things, I would recommend stopping off at a supermarket rather than buying there.

The location is fantastic and you're within walking distance of all the action.

Overall, highly recommended.
