“They have ruined it!”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

For a number of years we have stayed at various hotels on the strip, Bellagio, Mirage etc, but have always gone to the Imperial Palace to gamble. The casino used to be laid out so that players could play roulette, blackjack, and various other games whilst enjoying the entertainment provided by the casino staff who would perform on a small raised stand. This would ensure a lively fun atmosphere for all, couple this with friendly chatty croupiers and at least you were always going to have fun as you lost your money.
What a change this year! The roulette tables are now tucked away around one side of an enormous curving wall which splits the casino in two and isolates players to such an extent that players feel they are in another casino!, the card tables are positioned on the other side of the wall and are near the performers but the performers stage is now right next to a main walkway through the casino which means that whilst playing, you feel that there are people standing at your shoulder all the time whilst they are watching the acts.
The croupiers on our table had all the personality of a rock, no fun, no conversation, not even a goodbye when they switched, (therefore no tips!!).
Whilst the Imperial Palace was never a "posh" place, it was at least fun and full of life. Whoever planned the changes has made a massive blunder I feel. We will not be losing our money there again.

“A place to sleep”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

The hotel is quite sub-par, and the windows in my room didn't close properly so the noise of the casino renovation woke me up very early. The casino floor is also quite crowded and not too inviting (probably because the rest of the casino is being renovated). But the prices are quite acceptable, especially for such a good location on the Strip.

“NOT THE BEST CASINO”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

I enjoyed the live show on the casino floor. I didn't really like the gaming there but, all in all it was a fun time. I loved the purses they have in the shops there and the best shows we've seen were at the Imperial Palace. I would go back for the shows.

“New name new look”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

The Imperial palace is now the QUAD. We were impressed with the updates that the casino is making and can.t wait to see the final project. This place is going to become on the spots to be on the strip.

“The Place To Stay On A Budget”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

Is this this nicest hotel in Vegas? No, not even close, but what I love about this place is the location and the price compared to other hotels. I know the name has changed but it will always be the IP to me! The IP is right on the strip, you can't ask for a better location than that, especially when you factor in that other hotels charge two, three or four times the amount the IP does. Of course those hotels are way nicer, but you are in Vegas, how much time do you plan on staying in your hotel room? The sports-book is a throw back, very old school, which I love. The Dealtainers on the main floor are a trip. Obviously this isn't the place to spend the majority of your time in Vegas but it is what is, a great cheap hotel with clean rooms right on the strip. So if you are on a budget and want to save your money for gambling/shows this is the place to stay!
