I like to go down and watch people and watch the light show and listen to the bands, especially the sax player. Its a good break from life and grab a hot dog and soda and your good to go

Whenever my wife and I go Vegas the debate is there. She loves the strip and I love downtown. Here are my reasons why. I love the closeness of the casinos. Walk out one casino and right into the next vs 3 blocks in-between. The atmosphere downtown is very laid back and fun. The Fremont experience is amazing and never gets old. The light show goes on every hour from dusk to midnight and last but not least you get your drinks a lot quicker downtown.

This was a packed madhouse on halloween night and the later it got the drunker people got, they start pushing and yelling, and falling. The shops are reasonably priced, as long as you find the right ones. The 3 day bus pass for $20., for the Double decker and downtown express busses, which travels up and down the strip Was an awesome purchase, the prior year we spent close to $200. In taxi rides alone. This year we got unlimited rides for 3 days exactly four people only $80. Their are so many things to do and shops to see, but every local we talked too had this to say, Vegas wasn't built off winners! ......And you know they are right.

The downtown is very interesting, to get out from the hotels and know the origins of Las Vegas.
Go there, and meet Elvis and lot of characters.
Eat a burguer and cross all the Freemont street!
