Great value. Loved the location of my room. I didn't have to walk down endless hallways. Earl of sandwich in food court a bonus. I ate the earl of montegue sandwich. I also loved chronic taco. Ate a steak burrito. Slots were fun. Ghostbusters was my favorite. Casino is clean. Room was clean and nice. I was in the fantasy tower. Parking structure was easily accessable. I will be back.

Absolutely, it was beautiful. Shower is amazing. Join the players club and receive half price buffet. Great staff and gaming. Allowed us to check in early since the rooms were available. Will go back again and again. Palms is the place to go off The Strip.

This review is on behalf of my boyfriend.

Five male friends stayed for five nights from thursday to tuesday and found the hotel to provide everything that was needed for a lad's weekend away. The hotel is located a little off the strip but is only $10 in a taxi. Used to staying in British and European hotels, the rooms were a good size and spotlessly clean having been recently refurbished. The pool area is great and Ditch Fridays was a pool party on par with Ibiza (although the music wasn't as good). Although we spent a lot of time out of the hotel we did get to check out Ghost Bar which is a brilliant venue made even better by the incredible view. The only gripe is that after midnight hotel guests have to pay to get in, in our opinion it should always be free. For a group of people looking to spend time in Vegas partying then this is a great base and because of its location, a good cheaper option.

My husband and i stayed at the Palms Casino Hotel from 8-11/8-15 and had the best time. Our flight got us in early, we arrived by 9:30am and check in was not until 3pm. The guy at the front desk told us he could have a room by noon, and was able to get us a corner room which looked over the strip and the pool. The room also had more square footage, which was an amazing perk! The rooms in the ivory tower- are super modern and sharp! The layout was nice, bathroom had all the latest and newest fixtures, and the beds were very comfortable as well. The hotel offered a shuttle every half hour to the strip (frpom 10am-8pm), drops off at Ceasers Palace and picks up there as well. We found that getting a cab to the strip was very easy and actually cheap because you can hop onto the highway/interstate. The casino was awesome, great options for food, and lots of bars to keep you occupied. I would definitely reccommend the Palms and would stay again! The pool was awesome as well. We went during the week days so it was never crowded or loud, which is exactly why we avoided the weekend. I would recommend taking a cab ride over to chinatown- eat where the locals eat! It's about a mile away. We ate at Monta Ramen and it was cheap and delicious! We can't wait to come back!

Room Tip: If you check in early, see if they can get you a corner room- strip view. So beautiful.

Had friends who were doing a Vegas wedding, so most of us in the group going decided to stay at this hotel. When we arrived we were greeted with a smile and had no problems checking in. We stayed in the Ivory Tower which was nice and very easy to get to from the Casino/Main area. We got to our room and at first glance it was very nice/clean, but when checking out the bathroom we found used towels and used shower caps still hanging in the shower, which was kind of disgusting. Something else that I had a problem with, which probably wouldn't bother most people, was that all of our special connections (HDMI, audio input) to the TV did not work, even though they have a setup for it in the wall next to the TV. I went and talked to the front desk to see if I was doing something wrong and the man working said, "Yeah, those don't work and we don't know why, and there's nothing we can do about it." I brought stuff (Ipod, tablet) specifically to hookup to the TV to make the time I did spend in the room, more enjoyable. I know friends that stayed in a different tower did not have this problem. Never tried the buffet, but ate at several of the restaurants at the food court that aren't available in my area of the country, and they were all great! Also ate at Nine Steakhouse for a meal and it was delicious. Went to the rooftop bar, Ghostbar, one night, and wow, what an amazing view of the Strip! Besides drinking while gambling, everywhere else at the resort was overpriced, some more than others, but the gambling itself was reasonable. I never really did well, but that's just the roll of the dice, and if you play video poker, you can make a few bucks last a while longer than what I've seen at other casinos. Overall the hotel was probably a little above average, but due to the whole thing with the device connections and dirty bathroom, I gave it a lower rating. I guess you can never get a perfect vacation.

In my opinion, the Palms is a mediocre hotel that's pretending to be better than it really is. There are certainly some nice things about it, such as the big comfortable beds, but there are also a lot of problems. For example...
security - in the evening there's a security man in the lift area, but during the day anyone can wander from the casino up to the guest rooms
the website - so difficult to navigate
the room descriptions - so confusing! there are two room types, "Superior" and "Premier", but it's impossible to know which is supposed to be better. When we booked, we got a free upgrade from Superior to Premier, but when we saw the room we asked for a downgrade because the Superior was actually nicer! Even the receptionists didn't seem to know how the rooms are described on the website.
reception - there's one lovely helpful girl (Sarah) but there's also at least one jobsworth on reception who, given the chance, will do her best to spoil your holiday
breakfast - there's no tea/coffee maker in the room, and the small fridge is packed with mini-bar items, so if you want anything for breakfast you'll have to head to the buffet, which is massive but full of bland unappetising food; there are also some cheap options like McDonalds in the 'Eatery', but a better bet is to avoid the Palms food altogether and hunt out something tastier along Flamingo Road
location - too far to walk to the Strip in the August heat
hype - I've lost count of the number of times I've seen the Palms described as good for "celeb spotting" but I wonder how many guests have actually spotted a celeb? (assuming they wanted to). I think it's just an example of the Palms trying to big itself up to compete with other better hotels. I also got fed up of how it describes itself as 'cool' and 'sexy'. It's neither, it's just an overpriced hotel with a casino and some expensive places to eat.
We stayed at the Palms and the Vdara when we were in Vegas, and I'd suggest that the Vdara is easily superior in most respects.

I spent three days at the Palms and had a great experience with the staff at the casino tables and waitstaff who helped me with anything I needed to make my stay enjoyable. From the check-in the check-out I had an overall great experience. The only setback I had at the Palms was at their adjacent property, Palms Place in which the service at the Simon was (for lack of a better word) horrible. You have to check out the GhostBar for the wonderful view of the Vegas skyline.

Room Tip: Ivory Tower is the way to go.
