The room was great! Clean, large, bright. Too bad I didn't have time to watch TV on the flat screen in the bathroom. Room service was fast and the food was good. The staff made a big impression on me with their friendliness. This was a rare and much appreciated experience. Nightclubs, restaurants, gambling all available onsite. I didn't even have time to see what all there is to do at The Palms.

Horrible rooms, very old fashioned, the casino stinks. If you are going to Vegas I highly recommend you to stay in a hotel by the strip
We stayed at The Palms from Wednesday, Oct.26-Sunday, Oct.30/11. We arrived several hours earlier than our check-in time and were lucky enough to get our room. The room is standard, nothing fancy but is a decent size as is the bathroom. The king-size bed was very comfortable. We had a nice view from the 21st floor of the strip and of the mountains. We ate at N9NE the first night and had a very good meal with great service. We were also given access into Ghostbar (lounge/nightclub) by our waitress.
Ok...enough of the positive comments. Now for the cons. This hotel is far off the strip-at least a 20-25 minute walk. It would be ok if you were walking along something nice but there are empty lots and you cross the interstate. There is a shuttle from the Gold Coast Hotel across the street but the one day we tried that, we couldn`t get on because there were so many others waiting ahead of us. We had to cab it alot!
There is a $15 a day resort fee which most hotels do not have. Apparently you do receive it back after you leave, so we`ll be waiting for that.
Apparently there was a major renovation to the buffet, but I`m guessing it was only on some paint and light fixtures as this is not a buffet you want to spend your money on. The breakfast is ok but I would maybe take a cab to another hotel and try a different buffet.
If you are a gambler, then this is definitely not your hotel. The casino is very small with not a lot to offer. The departure lounge casino at the airport is almost as big!
Check out was easy and every time we dealt with the desk/concierge they were very helpful and pleasant.
Overall, it wasn`t the worst place to stay but definitely would stay on the strip closer to the action even for a few more dollars. Defintiely more suited to a younger crowd with all the nightclubs.
This place does not disappoint! The room was gorgeous, the view was amazing, and the energy was electric. Would recommend if you are wanting to party it up in Vegas. This is the place for that. The clubs are surreal. Go and have the time of your life!
Who brings young children to Vegas and leaves them in a room next to yours and the front desk managers says deal with it. Can't sleep because morons bring baby's to Vegas for the weekend. Palms customer service sucks.
