“Revolutionizing what it means to be a great buffet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

The Cosmopolitan hadn't been built the last time I was in Vegas. Our United flight gave us 2 for 1 buffets at the Wicked Spoon. I didn't look it up before going but now that I've gone and looked it up, it's no surprise it's one of the highest rated buffets in Vegas. Great quality, small plates on a buffet line will surely begin to revolutionize and redefine what it means to be a great buffet.

“Sad culture”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

We went to Wicked Spoon after hearing it was the best in Vegas. We were really late by the time we got there and only had 45 minutes until close.

The food was fine - typical buffet - large portions of a variety of food. Two of us in the party were vegetarian and there were enough options to be stuffed there even if you miss out on the meat.

What was annoying was that as the evening came to a close the staff just started throwing out all the deserts before the restaurant closed.

As this is where people go last, staff should wait until close before they clear the deserts as people are still eating them!

What was disturbing is that there are huge numbers of people living in the drains in Las Vegas. Surely the restaurant could save this good food and donate it to the hungry people living nearby?

They were concerned about liability. What kind of country throws such huge quantities of good food away each day and lets people starve nearby?

OK so that is my rant, and not just directed at this restaurant but this is where I saw people throwing out piles of delicious looking gold trimmed deserts straight into the rubbish, and when customers were still eating.

If you are looking for a buffet then this would be one of the better options I am sure. Just don't go too late.

“Unique and interesting food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013 via mobile

We loved this buffet. Small portions of interesting food. Mac and cheese made in front of you with your choice of cheeses and add-ins. Truffle potatoes, sushi, duck ravioli, bone marrow, awesome fried chicken, are just a few examples of the things we enjoyed. Awesome desserts too. Service was great. To us, this buffet beat out Rio's seafood buffet; which was our favorite. A little pricey but well worth it.

“Not worth the money.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

I ate there yesterday. The food was average, served in small portions. Alcohol is a la carte, except for wine which you can pay an additional $9 for bottomless.

The "famous" chocolate covered strawberries are huge, but the chocolate they are dipped in has no taste so quite a disappointment!
