Description: Recognized for award-winning Steakhouses and Ocean Club Seafood locations in Southern California and Arizona, Mastro's Restaurants makes its Las Vegas debut with the opening of Mastro’s Ocean Club in Crystals at CityCenter. A combination of world-class service, live entertainment and cuisine such as the illustrious three-tiered iced Seafood Tower, bone-in filet, lobster mashed potatoes and a one-of-kind warm butter cake, is served in an elegant and energetic atmosphere. Guests enter the restaurant through an elegant portal of wood-lined lowered ceilings and meandering walls, and are presented with a myriad of dining options. The expansive interior of an 80-foot-tall sculptural Tree House encompasses Mastro’s main dining room. On the dining terrace, Mastro’s offers views of the angular shapes, towering ceilings and unique artistic elements of Crystals.

We went for my daughters 30 th birthday. We had the lobster tails, lobster mashed potatoes and gnocchi ! Amazing, I had a Cosmo and it was just incredible. And of course the butter cake! You have to have the butter cake! This is not a cheap or even semi affordable venue, it is a special treat for sure! We spent apx 100.00 per person, but it was worth it!

We have visited many steakhouses are were excited to try Mastros. In Vegas we have previously been to Del Frisco's, Del Monico, and Joe's. Plus a number of places in the Midwest including Capital Grille, Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Mannys, and Murrays.

The service as Mastros was superb. Samantha our server was awesome. She knew the menu and was always watching our table. The rest of the staff also did a great job.

The ambience is weird. You are in the middle of Crystals (upscale shopping mall) and unfortunately Mastros has chosen to pump in loud 70s/80s music. It made talking tough (we were in the tree house)

The bread basket is excellent. Best pretzel rolls I've ever had. The warm butter cake for dessert is also excellent and a must try.

But the core of the dinner was just OK. The steaks are wet-aged and we both thought they had a more sour type of taste than the dry aged beef we are used to. The filet and bone-in filet were also a little tougher than others we have had.

Salads had good flavor but the lettuce wasn't fresh (showed some browning). Finally the mashed potatoes were fine, but not a match for something like the Capital Grille.

So for Vegas, service was as good as Del Monico. But the food was overall the worst of what we have tried. Del Friscos remains my favorite in Vegas.

Server saved the meal. Even with 4-stars, we will not return due to the ambience for the price.

We went there for my sister's and friend's birthday and everything was wonderful. Starting with the drinks, we had a couple of cosmopolitans; one of the best I have had. A little pricy though but the bartender picked up the bill for the drinks because of the birthday celebrations. The lobster bisque was delicious but a huge amount. We could have shared the soup with 3 people. I had the Chilean Sea bass cooked perfectly. My sister had the Halibut which was a daily special and it was like butter. My friend had the rack of lamb; also very good. The best thing was the lobster mash potatoes. There had to be a whole lobster tail in it and the portion was huge. With 3 people at the table we took quite a bit home. Even the veggies were cook to perfection. In the end the waitress surprise each birthday girl with a desert free of charge. The waiters and waitresses were extremely tentative. Even though it was pricy I will gladly go back. NOTE: the next day the restaurant called me to make sure we had a good time. WHO DOES THAT! AWESOME PLACE.

Excellent as usual. I wish they had there full menu of steaks, but it is an Mastro's Ocean Club and not Mastro's Steakhouse.

Wow! We had an excellent experience at Mastro's. We were seated in the "tree house" which is an architectural marvel to view. The crowd was loud (in a good way), lively and in no way stuffy or over the top pretentious. There was a live piano player and there were a few guests actually eating ON the piano. Very cool.

We loved every course of our dinner and unfortunately didn't have room for the famous butter cake dessert, but saw it at other tables. It looked amazing as did the full plate of whipping cream that is served alongside most of the desserts!

Our waitress was attentive and made great recommendations. We both enjoyed bone-in filets and shared a side. All of the sides are huge portions and meant to be shared, probably by more than just two people. We had fabulous cocktails and great bottle of wine. The prices were reasonable relative to the quality and portions of food. Can't wait to return!
