Owner description: We specialize in small group tours 14 people or less in a Mercedes Sprinter. We go to both the West Rim (Glass Skywalk)and South Rim (Grand Canyon National Park) of the Grand Canyon and give you your own time there. Having done this business for awhile, some do not want the traditional "hold your hand tour" and wish to do as they please. The ride there and back is comfortable in leather reclining seats, USB charging ports and outlets in every row. Avoid the crowded buses, ride in luxury.

My wife and I have been to Red Rock Canyon 3 times previously. We have done some hikes there already but I thought it might be nice to have an actual guide give us some info on the area this time.

Tom showed up in his Mercedes van on time at the Paris hotel with clipboards in hand. After signing releases and introductions he had us get in. We had a full group but there was plenty of space in the vehicle and it was very comfortable. We then drove out to RRC (about 25 minutes).

He brought us to the third or fourth stop along the RRC road and then asked what the group was up for (challenge wise) for today. At that moment it started pouring. It was like walking into a shower pouring.

Tom produced some plastic ponchos for everyone - but himself. He didn't want one. So off we go, skirting puddles and seeking shelter under rock outcroppings. About 10 minutes later the rain stopped and we were treated with some amazing scenes of mini-waterfalls appearing over many of the rock formations. This was really neat and something I had never seen before.

We even watched a few mini-washes form up and run down some paths.

Tom took us to a good location where he offered some snacks and water, then suggested multiple places we could explore on our own. There was somewhere for everyone to go and I think everyone enjoyed the freedom to look around. I asked Tom some questions about RRC that I had been curious about during my previous trips there. He knew the answers and was excited to have someone interested in the history of the area.

We then walked back to the vehicle a different way and he told us about weddings that had been done there, stuff like that.

My only disappointment is there were no other stops. But in 3 hours (inc about 1 hour of travel) there is only so much you can really do. He did tell us some of his hiking stories (12 hour trips) on some of the trails we drove by.

Tom is a character - he is entertaining in a very earnest way. He is very approachable and his point of view is interesting to hear. I think it is safe to say he loves what he does and that shows through in his presentations.

After coming to Vegas many times I can say that this is one of the best values you can get if you want off the strip. This is a much better option than renting a car and doing it on your own if you are looking for just a small taste of RRC. I just wish there was a longer tour option!

Went with Red Rock Canyon tour and Tom was our guide. As we left the strip the scenery dramatically changed. You see the canyon from a distance but you can't believe how majestic they are up close. We stopped for many photo ops and even saw wild burros. The scene from above, we hiked up a trail, was fantastic. I live in south Florida and the opportunity to see something completely different from where I live was a thrill. Highly recommend!

This trip was so well worth it. We had no idea this experience was so close to Las Vegas. Refreshing change of pace. The scenery was spectacular and the walk/hike was very doable for all. Tom made sure we had lots of time to explore and take tons of pictures. Lots of great photographic opportunities. So glad we did this.

Tom was a great guide - great knowledge of the area and great fun!

He gives you the option of a easy/medium/hard hike - we and the other couple on the tour opted for the medium trek. He gives plenty of info on the area as you hike - including about wildlife and plants in the area. Tom provided water and snacks for the hike.

From leaving the meet location (Paris hotel) to returning there is about 3 hours. It's about a 30min drive each way so you spend about 2hrs in the Canyon - most of this will be on the hike.

Please bear in mind the focus of this trip is a hike, whilst you do drive the canyon loop and see all the sights, Tom doesn't stop at the various viewing points along the way for photos.

Highly recommended trip when in Vegas - only a short drive takes you to a different world from the strip!

Met early outside of the Paris, filed out standard forms and we were off. Tom drove carefully and allowed us to listen to some traditional music to 'get us in the mood' so to speak. Arrived at the canyon and Tom made sure we were all comfortable with the type of hike he proposed and checked we had water and sun screen before we left. He also had spare walking poles and a couple of rucksacks. We set out on a 'hard' climb but the view was well worth the scramble. Tom has such a vast knowledge of the area and kept us all together with frequent stops whenever required. It had been raining so there were a few pools in the rocks which made great photo opportunities. Then after we got back he took us round the loop of the canyon, would have liked to have stopped for more photos but we'd taken quite a few anyway. Thanks Tom for a fabulous time. Would highly recommend this trip.
