Don't expect 4star food at a 2 star price because that is exactly what you are getting for the price you pay whether it's on a discount deal thru TravelZoo or any other voucher program; whether the food is discounted because you have a player's club card or any other product that discounts this buffet. This buffet is very mediocre and although you get a lot of food for the price the food is just very plain with nothing special to rave about. The seafood bar has shrimp that is difficult to peel and has no taste unless you like that red cocktail sauce that you coat the shrimp with and the crabs legs have been drowned in water so there is absolutely no taste. I was there on a Saturday nite and TravelZoo's ad promised sushi but there was none to be seen and when I complained to the management I was told that they had run out. Can you imagine running out of sushi at 7:30 PM at a busy buffet? That was a new one to me and the chef behind the counter stated that there was never any sushi to begin with. The buffet had all the usual fare with nothing that was out of the ordinary and if you like buffets then you will love the Bistro Buffet as the food is never-ending but no better or worse than any other buffet that loads you up on second rate food. To pay $29.95 + tax + tip for this fare or even a discounted price is to throw your money away. The all you can drink wine or beer is 5th rate wine and watered down warm beer served in plastic opaque cups like you would get at Big Lots. The desserts were skimpy and small and the fruit pies were made with canned filling that if thrown against the wall would hold up your heaviest mirror. The old adage of ' YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR ' was coined just for the food that is served here. If you want quantity instead of quality then make a beeline to the Bistro Buffet and join the rest of the garbage eaters who are saving their money to gamble it away in the 2nd rate casino in which this restaurant is located.

I purchased a voucher in August for 2 people to eat at the newly remodelled Bistro Buffet in the Palms casino for $29. We did not have to wait too long to get to cash desk but was very miffed to be asked to pay a little extra to cover taxes especially as due to the buffet having an offer on regular price was less than we had paid as a 'special offer' ! However paid up and enjoyed a very good buffet dinner with unlimited Wine throughout- service was OK (not great) but the food was very good with a wide selection and particulary good desserts which is usually the weak point of any buffet. Would definately go again but would be very wary about purchasing a voucher again unless I knew I would be saving!!!!!

Ate at this buffet on a Saturday night, so the price was increased from $19.99 to $25.99 because on Saturdays they add seafood to the menu. You can knock $7.00 off the price by signing up for a players card. Also, the buffet includes all you can drink beer and wine, although it's not going to be THE BEST wine you have ever had. Good variety of food, suggest you go here if you want a good buffet at a good price.

Forget about gourmet eating at an expensive restaurant! If you are a fussy eater and gourmet/authentic cousines lover, and do not wish to spend high prices, this fantastic buffet is for you! Truly authentic Italian seafoot pasta (for example), good quality cioppino soups (seafood soups) and excellent dishes, cooked or at least supervised by a real chef, and managed by a team who clearly cares about image and quality.
