We decided to try this place based on a restaurant.com certificate. We arrived early evening. As we were going in the door we met another gentleman coming out who told us we should find another place to eat as the staff here was very rude. We went in anyway and after a wait were greeted (for lack of a better word) by an unsmiling dour man who told us to come back in 20 minutes then turned and walked away! Okay, maybe the exiting man was right. We went into the casino and killed 20 minutes playing slots. After 20 minutes we returned to the restaurant to be met by the same man who clearly didnt remember us. He asked if we had a reservation. When we said we didnt but were told to return in 20 minutes this sorry excuse for a maitre 'd grumbled "come back in 20 minutes" again and again turned and walked away from us as if we were bothering him! Needless to say we did not "come back in 20 minutes" a second time. With all the wonderful restaurants available in the Las Vegas area no one should put up with this kind of service and attitude! Stay away from this place, stay far away! Go next door to Sam's Town where they know how to treat a customer!

This was our WORST experience eating out EVER!!!! We made a reservation through Open Table for a booth. The "booth" they reserved for us at the restaurant was in a corner and part of 3 tables. Very noisy! We ended up sitting at an uncomfortable table in the middle of the restaurant. We waited 15 min. before the waiter "noticed" us. Although Alma the bus person was fantastic! We ordered the sampler appetizer which included a single, watery piece of shrimp, an over fried crab cake about the same size as our soup spoon, and some ice cold calamari. Our filet mignon tasted like buffet roast beef with bleu cheese (possibly placed there to cover up the dryness of a "rare" piece of meat). And the desserts were stale at best the tiramisu was made with sponge cake and very dry. We will NEVER go back!

We ate here Thursday night, 12/13/12. We had the prime rib, potatoes, and broccoli w/hollandaise sauce. Two drinks, martini and makers mark. The prime rib was very fatty, the potatoes and broccoli cold. The Hollandaise did not taste like it was the "real thing". The prices were very high for what we got. The service was mediocre at best. The drinks, while call brands, did not taste like them nor were they very big. I would never recommend this restaurant although looking at other reviews, apparently they have some good nights.
Although located in a casino, it is quiet, no smoke and the ambiance is good. There wasn't hardly anybody in the restaurant the night we were there.

A few miles East of the strip in a local casino hotel, Eastside Cannery, is Carve, a quiet room with pleasant ambiance and great food at reasonable prices. Their prime rib offers generous cuts of freshly roasted, tender, tasty beef, served with choice of potato, and a basket offering a variety of breads, and some of the best horseradish. They also have a selection of steaks as well as some chicken and seafood dishes. We have dined there several times and every entree we have tried has been superior.

We had dinner at the Carve on Wednesday (9/12/12). We had heard from Las Vegas locals that the place had a small dining room and a reservation would be necessary. Not really, they had lots of room and never did fill up while we were there. I had the special, BBQ ribs and chicken combo, and my wife had prime rib. The service was excellent and the food was prepared well. The sauce on my ribs and chiken was very mild and the small prime rib was still too large for my wife. It's not a cheap place to eat, but the cost was in line with the quality and service. We will go back next time we are in Las Vegas.
