“Average stay? We could only hope ...”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

Check in was a breeze and the first room impression was nice. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. The front desk staff and the drivers are very nice; more later on the rest of the staff.

The room was large, had microwave and fridge. The bed was comfortable, but on the firm side. If you do not have your own pillows, the ones provided are great. The TV has Starz and limited channel choice. Our TV had channel reception issues; few channels were out. We called several times and were also told the maintenance would check it. They did not. On a second night after calling again shuttle driver checked and fixed it (bad cable connection).

The place is noisy; one expects that being next to the airport. But there is no sound insulation in the room itself. Zero. If you have a visitor with ingestion problems and he needs to use the restroom, you may want to leave to room or use ear plugs. We felt like standing next to the person doing his business. Pretty disgusting.

Our thermostat was also off by 4 degrees. So when we set the temp to 72F we thought the room will be 72F. It actually showed 68F; too cold. It was after all, freezing outside. Plus it took about 10 min for the unit to start producing any warm air. This could be just an issue with this room but who knows.

The breakfast is rather sad, limited in selection and quantity. On our first morning (and we were the first one there) they had 7 bagels to start the day with and they all looked rather tired. Asking for fresh ones was met with cold stare and terse reply that they are fresh. We also tried the hard boiled eggs. Peeling them revealed unsavory green sheen; safe to say we did not eat them. Next day we brought our own breakfast.
Oh yes, they have real silverware and plates, but I would rather eat great breakfast like we had in Comfort Inn in Flagstaff from paper plates than lousy breakfast on real plates offered here.

The hotels hall carpets are in bad need of cleaning. Plus the duct tape to fix a tear does not add to the ambiance either.

The biggest no no that we experienced for the first time was a 'snooping' maid. She went through some of our things we left in the bath, throwing bags away we use to store items in (like toothpaste, floss, etc.). I guess she knows better what we need or use than we do. IMO this is a reprimand offence at the least, possibly employment termination if repeated offender. And yes, we let the front desk know.

We paid $402.08 for 3 nights (we stayed over New Year Eve). We will be back in LV, but we will not stay here again.

My expectation of value must be different from other TA user since I have had mixed experience with top rated hotels. As I write this the hotel is rated #5 out of 275. Put 4 in front of the 5 and I would agree because it this place is truly #5 then Las Vegas is in more trouble than it already is.

I so sorry to hear about your poor experience. Unfortunately we are not always perfect and do make mistakes. I'm glad to hear that we fixed the TV issue but you are right it should have been fixed sooner. I will be sure to pass on your review to the staff, so that we can improve upon the service that you received.

We stayed here for New Year's Eve and was the perfect experience for us. The following day we moved to Ceasars Palace to get the whole "Vegas" experience and REGRET leaving La Quinta. Rooms in this hotel were MUCH better than the ones in ceasars palace. Wish we would have stayed both nights in La Quinta. It was TRULY a perfect hotel.

Stayed for two nights over new year's. Would usually choose to stay in a swanky hotel on the strip but during these busy periods, this was so much more affordable and with the regular (and reliable) shuttle service getting around was no problem at all. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful and the room was nicely furnished and clean with a very comfortable bed.

We stayed for only one night in this hotel but holy cow, what a great hotel!! We travel with our two dogs and La Quinta hotels are very good for pet owners! This hotel had a free shuttle that took you to Mandalay Bay on the strip. It was a wonderful perk! We had wonderful shuttle drivers who were very friendly and helpful! They even offered to stop for us to pick up a snack! The room was spacious and the beds were oh so very comfortable! It was a great stay!

So we were traveling from Arizona for a few days in Vegas. We wanted to bring the dog, so we searched for a La Quinta. We didn't need to be on the strip, so this location was perfect.
We arrived a few hours before check-in time and were allowed to check in with no hassle. Some hotels in charge you an early check in fee...not LQ. We had our dog with us and she was allowed to stay at no extra cost. The staff was nice and very helpful. Our room and bathroom was very clean, modern and comfortable. Flat screen TV and a Keurig brewer...perfect.
The location was great for us and they offered 24 hour shuttle service to the strip and shopping in the area. You just have to sign up so they know you want a ride.
I do think they may need to possibly have an extra shuttle on standby. We signed up for a 3pm shuttle ride to the strip, when we showed up the shuttle was full, so we had to wait. The driver said he'd be back in 20 minutes, but since he had to wait for other guests who'd called for rides back to the hotel, we ended up waiting for the next shuttle at 4pm. There were a ton of people waiting for that one as well, so we had to make it known that we were originally reserved for 3pm. It worked out, but that is something they need to work on.

All in all...awesome stay. We were happy and we were able to bring our dog without paying what it would have cost to board her.

Great stay! The shuttles run frequently from the hotel to The Strip, the airport, and even took me to the rental car center to pick-up the car we needed for a few days. It would be easy to stay several days in Las Vegas and never need a car if ll one anted to do was go to the casinos on the Strip.
