We took the overnight tour.
A bit of background information before I start... As we were staying overnight, I wanted to find out whether we were subject to limitations in terms of luggage. There was nothing stated on the letter of confirmation back in February so I emailed the company and they told us that they didn't have any limits on luggage.
So, on July 16, a polite lady driver came to pick us up from the Aria with our two (average sized) suitcases. We thought that that was the tour bus, but in fact they take everybody to a room in the underground garage of Planet Hollywood where you have to queue up to be allocated to a specific bus/driver. When we got off the bus, an unpleasant man in a black shirt pointed to our suitcases and said "you can't take those". That marked the start of a heated discussion with me insisting that we'd been told we could and him implying, without actually saying so, that we were lying. Anyway, he then stalked off and we joined the end of the queue, angry and worried. A few minutes later, he came back and told us that we could take our luggage. However, we were made to feel that we were being a nuisance and that they were having to make special allowances for us. By this time, we were virtually the last people on the bus, which was almost full, so there was no room for the three of us to sit together. Fortunately, we had a great driver, Brendan, who asked people on their own if they wouldn't mind moving so that we, and the couple behind us, could sit with their travelling companions.
We very much enjoyed our tour with Brendan so my overall assessment would be positive, but I have three important suggestions to make to Grand Canyon Tour Company:
- allocate people to buses in advance so that they do not have to waste time queueing and allocate seats too
- make sure that all your employees provide accurate advice on any luggage limitations
- send the guy in a black shirt on a customer relations course.

We really loved the trip and the driver was realy good and nice. He retired from the military and he is very knowledgeable. We stopped at different places such as Route 66 , Hoover Dam and others before getting to the Grand Canyon. I have visited the west rim which is a shorter trip, but this part of the Canyon is deeper and we really wanted to visit it. There are places to eat and many souvenirs to buy. We really enjoyed the tour. A light breakfast and lunch is included. Lunch consists of a sandwich, chips and cookies, and a bottle of water. We suggest you carry some cash with you to buy something extra to eat or drink.

We had a great tour from pick up at one of the nearby spots, through lunch, the Grand Canyon and back to our pick up location.

Our bus driver, Coach Ed, was awesome.

If we had a single complaint it would be the wifi on the bus. Basically, it was useless. Talk about First World Problems? If that's the only complaint we can come up, I guess it was a pretty successful day!

this is one of many providers of the tours to Grand Canyon from Vegas. The start was early and we were collected from hotel pick up point and taken to central office where we were put into another bus. All fine, then we started our journey to the Grand Canyon with a stop over at Hoover dam, post that there was another unnecessary stop made where we ended up wasting about 45 min.

Then we stopped for lunch and post that into the Grand Canyon.

the driver was quite knowledgeable and funny, the bus was quite comfortable though became a bit chilly due to high aircon while on our way back.

We could have come back a bit earlier or got more time at the Grand Canyon as the extra stop on the way was not really needed. Other than that, no complains !!

If you travel overseas and come to Las Vegas but do not visit the Grand Canyon you will regret the fact for the remainder of your life! Question is how best to get there as it's a far distance....hire a car or book a tour? We chose the tour as the stress and risk involved via car rental really did not appeal. Ok next question - which tour? After a quick search of the net up comes this tour option - looks good - let's worried do it. Booked via the phone option, little difficult to get past the accents and such but all credit card details were exchanged with a promise that email information would be dispatched very shortly. Issues with email transfers then had me worried....have I just been scammed? However after a phone call I must say that this tour company delivered all that they promised and a great tour was provided with pickup and drop off provided, plus a good buffet lunch and snacks. Robert proved himself to be a very professional tour guide - you can tell he has done this many times and effectively 'Herds the Cats' to ensure that a very long day is not drawn out to become even longer. It is amazing to me how people do not listen and 'do their own thing' when on a group tour - Robert ensured these individuals did not hijack the tour in a very effective, yet friendly , manner. In short this is a company you can trust - they deliver the goods - get you there and return you safely but be prepared for a long day of travel through Nevada and Arizona (a tour in itself) to create one of your lifetime memories! TIP's - there are several charging points at the front of the bus for phones, camera's so bring your charger to make certain you can capture those amazing photographs of the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon.
