But the souvenir shop is a little lacking. I was hoping for more replicas of lost items. The exhibit however was entertaining, and informative.

If you are a Titanic buff/enthusiast, this exhibit is for you! We are casual enthusiasts so we weren't blown away but enjoyed the self guided tour. We bought our tickets at a very good discount....if we had paid full price, we would have been disappointed.

You are given a boarding card of an actual person that boarded the Titanic that fateful day and at the end you can find out of they Survived or not.

Lots of information to read and items to see that were recovered including the 'big piece'.

Highly recommended, informative and emotional.

When it was suggested to me that we go to this, I was a bit indifferent - I know the story of Titanic and I pretty much know all I need to. But to spend an hour or so wandering through was really interesting!

I’m not usually one for reading all the posted information in attractions like this, but they were written so well and really held your interest. Loads of artefacts have been recovered from the debris field and they haven’t tried to flower up the stories either (for example, if they don’t know where in the shop this cup and saucer would have been used, they say as much rather than attaching a story to it).

Overall I found it enjoyable. Would I visit a second time? No, probably not, but I’m glad I went.

I'll start out by saying that we got discounted tickets. I wouldn't suggest paying full price unless you are a Titanic nut and just have to go.

The exhibition is well paced but I would STRONGLY suggest paying the extra couple of dollars to get the head sets that walk you through the exhibit. While you could read everything on the walls, the sounds and narration add a lot to the experience.

What you will get out of this will depend on how well you can immerse yourself into it. Learning about the true individuals on the ship, their true stories, seeing items that were once on the ship and then the ocean floor and even seeing a piece of the wreck were emotional and unsettling if you allow yourself to become part of the exhibit. If you are expecting to be blown away by special effects or theatrics, then you'll be disappointed.

Take advantage of the stairwell photo session. Worst case - you leave without buying the photo but it's still fun to dress up and stand on the stair case.
