Ok, so I had to go to Vegas for the furniture market, the only draw back, well it's vegas , pretty much the last place on earth I wanted to visit. I don't gamble, smoke , stay up late, or party unless its friends over for a night in ( at my place ) . So I do my research and find ( lo and behold) a non gaming , non smoking hotel with an organic, natural food cafe with a great wine selection. I'm in.
It just so happens to be an all suite hotel , rooms are like 600 sg. Ft. With a kitchen, large bath and sitting room. lOVE.... I really liked this place...a lot...ok for the downside...the pool closed at 8 ( seriously???) if you don't gamble that's kind of what you want ....and they only have king beds, not the biggest deal on earth, but I was traveling with a girlfriend , and sometimes you just want you're own sleeping space , but what if its two business guys... I don't think they would go for that.
Other than these two minor items I would really recommend this place.

This was more than expected. The corner room with a view was worth the upgrade. We found the location really convenient with the connection to the Bellagio and Aria Hotel for dining and gambling. We were able to walk inside from the Vdara through the Bellagio, walk through the shops and exit and wakl to Caesars, walk through the shops to the outside that lead right to the front door of the Mirage to see the Beatles show. Great when you are there in the heat of the summer. Will definitely go back again. The rooms are beautiful and everything was top shelf. They even have a Keurig coffee machine with a couple of coffees. If you are going bring some of your own so you don't run out.

Room Tip: Had a corner room and really enjoyed the view.

Our stay was not flawless, but unless you are massively uptight about the little things, it was a fabulous place to stay.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. Even though we had a late check in, they were kind enough to honor our request and we had a lovely room on the 52nd floor. The view from our corner suite was fantastic! Mountains by day, city lights at night. Yes, you could see into other rooms if you wanted to be nosy, but as we were not partying hard, we could care less if someone wanted to watch us eat. We never lowered the blinds, except to sleep.

Very spacious, we liked the layout. It's always fun to yell, "Where are you?" when you can't find your spouse. It made us feel spoiled with such a large room. Bed was very comfortable.

We were going to a roller derby convention at the Riviera, but chose to stay here since it was non-gaming and non-smoking. Normally Vegas is a 3 day trip max before you are worn out by overstimulation, but at the Vdara, 5 days was still pleasant since you could escape from the mayhem of the strip. I liked that there were not clubs or restaurants since it made the lobby quite relaxing.

Valet was okay. The staff was nice and quick as they could be. We were lucky to be using it in the off hours, so the longest we waited was maybe 15 minutes. I imagine it would be a nightmare at prime time traveling. They probably could add a few more guys for faster service.

Very easy to walk over to the Aria and Bellagio for restaurants and entertainment.

Housekeeping was always taken care of by the time we got back to our room around 5pm. The ladies that we ran into were extremely friendly.

Minor issues worth mentioning just so you know why I didn't give it 5 stars, but not enough of a problem to stop us from returning.
1) Phones didn't work, had to use my cell to contact the front desk. It was fixed quickly.
2) Room had a bad smell coming from the washer/dryer vent. We figured nobody had used it, causing the trap water to evaporate like it does in a shower at home that you don't run often. Maintenance was there within 10 minutes and stayed to run a cycle since we had to leave. Problem solved.
3) Fridge had a big dent in it (aesthetic issue), but on the plus side the filtered water was tasty and we didn't need the bottled water.
4) Only decaf coffee when we arrived. That one stumped me.
5) A scale is just wrong when on vacation, but it didn't work anyway. We found that out when we tried to weigh our luggage at the end of the trip.

This trip doubled as an anniversary vacation and we will definitely go back.

Overall, the hotel suite is gorgeous. The bathroom is large and clean, bed is comfy and suites have a kitchen area (which even if you don't use, the extra space is nice). Staff is friendly and elevators are quite prompt.

The hotel itself is in a good location - only a hop away from the strip, on the tram line, and connected to the Bellagio/across from the Aria.

Couple complaints: we reserved for 3 people, so we were provided 1 King and 1 sofabed. The sofabed is in terrible condition. You can feel the springs right through, even though they had put a cover over it. In fact, we had to put 3 covers on it. After all that, it was comfortable for those sleeping on it, but regardless, it really isn't the quality of even a 3 star.

Pool is very small and would likely need to be 4x the size if it really wanted to serve all the guests of the 50-story-ish building.

Starbucks is coming soon, which is highly needed. The only meal options outside of room service is the marketplace - very overpriced.

It was a positive experience, but I don't know if I would stay there again the next time I'm in Vegas. Definitely not if I was going as a trio again.

Check in went smoothly. Rooms are very comfortable. Bed feels like you are sleeping on top of pillows. Rooms are very modern. Resort fee of 28.00 per day. Did not see onsite parking so used valet. Pool was nice with good service. No casino or night clubs in hotel. Steps within Cosmopolitan, Aria, and Bellagio casinos. Would recommend and stay again.

Room Tip: Bid on Priceline 2-3 months in advance and will receive a good rate. Priceline does not include resort fee.
