I have stayed in Vegas 5 times and the MO is by far the best hotel. The fact the hotel has no casino and the entrance is basically private you do not have to deal with huge groups of annoying tourist. Also, it's small size allows for superior and personalized service that you will never get in any other Vegas hotel. Contrary to other reviews, the pool was a perfect temperature. The service and food at the pool was expensive but excellent and worth it. If you rent a car though, don't park it in their lot. They charge $20 bucks a day which is ridiculous for Las Vegas where parking is free everywhere. Just use the Aria self parking located in the same complex just behind the MO. It is free and not much of a walk. I would however unload your luggage at the entrance before parking in Aria. It's not a fun walk with suitcases.

My son and I stayed in this hotel for 2 night in July as a stopover and from the moment we pulled up in our hire car we were blown away by the service, rooms, and facilities. It just kept getting better. It was our first time in Vegas and the staff ensured we had a great time.
My 14 year old son loved all the gadgets in the room and the reception staff . Couldnt have been better

Room Tip: The higher the room the better and try to get a room facing the strip

We have stayed here several times since my previous 3 star review of this hotel. We actually like it quite a bit now. The facility is very nice and the service is mostly outstanding. The housekeeping has gone downhill a bit recently, but otherwise we were pleased. The food is excellent. The pool is nice and not too much of a scene. The bed is the best hotel bed ever. There is noise from a nightclub that can be pretty bad at times.

It's hard to say there's a best hotel in Las Vegas but when you consider the entire package - service, location, rooms, facilities, et al - the Mandarin is at the top of the list.

There's no doubt the Encore, the Wynn, the Four Seasons, Bellagio Villas, and MGM Grand Mansion are competitive but they all lack the service and style the Mandarin delivers. As a non-gaming hotel the Mandarin offers a zen like retreat with ready access to the strip.

The other reviews will give the details. However, as someone who has hit all the high spots in Vegas, I post this to say I keep coming back to the Mandarin because it is the best.

It was our first visit to Las Vegas and Maui Hawaii and i spend quite a lot of time reviewing through comments on Tripadvisor and was glad that we selected Mandarin Oriental at Las Vegas. Location was fantastic and its a great property with excellent service. We had a strip view room suite beautifully done up in modern oriental taste. Room service menu was one of the best with a wide selection of cuisine available. Concierge was excellent and made all the reservations for our 2 families.

Room Tip: Should select a room with strip view and also note that rooms are small in general in LV perhaps.

We (me,my wife and twelve year old daughter) had a three night stay here, after spending eight nights at the Palazzo further up the strip.(See separate review).
We stayed in a Cityscape Suite, which was absolutely stunning.
We particularly liked the automated lighting, blinds and air con system, that we found very easy to use.
Also, the beds are heavenly, the bathroom is outstanding, the lounge is comfy and the bedroom is extremely bright and airy.
Apart from a problem at check in (which was more than compensated for by the arrangement of a late check out),
our entire stay was exceptional.
The staff could not have been more helpful, whether it was at the reception, poolside,or at Mozen, where we enjoyed a meal that could not be faulted.
We genuinely did not want to leave the hotel during our stay, but should you venture outside, the location is hard to fault.
In summary,if you want the hustle and bustle of a casino hotel, you'll stay elsewhere, but if if it's 'a haven,in a sea of madness' that you're after,I couldn't think of a better place to be.

We rented a cabana at the pool here during our last trip to Vegas. It was $350 food/beverage minimum on the day we rented it (Wednesday). The entire day was perfect. The cabana was nice and relaxing as was the pool. This is a very quiet pool not rowdy like many others. The food and drinks were all really good. We were there most of the day and had no probably meeting the minimum with 3 people. We will definitely return to this pool again. You have to have a cabana or be a guest to go to the pool here.
