“Terrific Value & Like-New”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

Located on Flamingo Ave just @ 1/2 mile from Caesar's Palace, this hotel is a Great Value (@$45/nt including taxes and fees on Thursday and Friday nights in May). Huge, modern, quiet, clean rooms. Free breakfast is very good (cold cereals, yogurt, juices, waffles, toast, coffees, etc.) and in nice lounge area. Free parking is underground, keeping car cool and access handy regardless of outside weather. Outdoor pool on 2nd floor is long enough for laps, private enough for sun-bathing, located just down hallway from free fitness center. Security system (room card key required to operate elevator anytime and gain access to hotel lobby during early morning hours) is both comforting and inconvenient. Staff is varied: some experienced (very helpful), others in-training mode (several mistakes). Commuting to/from heart of The Strip --- Bellagio's, Caesar's, Mirage, Wynn --- is so convenient, it seems impossible that we paid so little for so much value!

The rooms are clean but that is the only positive part of this stay. The rooms are so crowded that you need shin guards to protect your shins from the black bed frame that gets lost in the dark carpet. The WiFi is slow and hard to connect. The Direct TV has a very limited number of channels, no ABC or NBC. TV channel control set to Spanish.
The hot tub was taped off as out of order but hot as a hot tub should be. Wonder why we could not at least use it as a hot soak ?
The Continental Breakfast was very limited.Weak coffee, Signs like "Sorry, no yoghurt, No toaster waffles, no bagels, no fake cream cheese, no bananas, " Ask for assistance from the staff and they offer you the pay extra menu. Try buttering toast when there are no plates, only bowls.
When we checked out a day early, the hotel refused to refund the last day's room fee. They did not charge us for the last night's amenities fee that had been advertised at $8.00 plus tax but was billed at $10.00 plus $1.20 tax.

Room Tip: Maybe Motel 6 will be a safer bet.

Used Wyndham Rewards points to book for 2 nights on 23&24 March (Sun & Mon). Location is right next to a huge shopping center, about a mile or so South of the Strip, with all manner of restaurants & other distractions. If you're happy with catching free shuttles to/from the airport, do that; but you'll need SOME mode of transport to get to all the attractions Vegas has to offer. Suggest a car rental, which runs about $40 a day. Baymont offers free wi-fi; a great free breakfast, including eggs & sausage, etc., which is continually replenished & ends @ 0900; in room coffee maker, microwave & mini fridge; and peace & quiet at night, since it's located about 1/4 mile off the main road. Looks like a favorite place for visiting sports teams engaged in tournament play. There were a boys soccer team & girls volleyball team staying there. All well behaved. Ms. Daro & team are to be commended for a clean, well organized & very well run hotel. We'll stay there again when visiting.

I stayed at the baymont inn & suites on may 3, and i was quite impressed by the hotel... judging from the price we got it for we were expecting nothing near this., service was excellent, room was nice, bed was comfortable... upong checking in we were greeted by jules the front desk guy he was really helpful in answering all of our questions., the shuttle service was good., but i understand its free and its hard to keep up with all of the guests, i didnt mind waiting since Daniel and fernando(shuttle drivers) sure made our ride fun. breakfast was decent not much to choose from. but overall a nice stay would deffinetly stay there again

Room Tip: make sure you do stay on the north side of the hotel is sure seems quieter.

Booked 3 rooms well in advance as we 3 guys were doing a golf / vegas trip. Thought we would stay 3 nights off the strip and concentrate on golf then move over to the strip for the last 3 days. I found the hotel fairly modern albeit the rooms were fairly small when you have luggage etc., As others have said, I too don't know how many times I hammered my shins on the weird bed frame :):)
Did not use the pool other than too have a few cigarettes and a cold beer with the boys - It was better than nothing but a fairly plain area on the second floor.
We walked over to Terribles Casino every night as it is practically across the street - Terribles is o.k. it seems like a local casino but had everything you needed inside including a small sports book.
The breakfast at the hotel is also fair......it is free so not sure what people expect. I simply had a couple of waffles and yogurt to start the day.
The only negative thing I can say was that upon check out there was great difficulty figuring out our bills. When we checked in they swipe your credit card ( like all hotels ) and simply put a hold on it for incidentals etc., - well what actually happened was when it was swiped it automatically was charging for the rooms so when I checked out I got charged again......It was a hell of a time trying to figure out our rooms and what was charged and what wasn't ? When I got home I checked my credit card on line and found umpteem credits and charges with all amounts.....when adding and subtracting I was still overcharged by a little bit. I am just going to leave it as I don't want to mess it more than it already is!!!!!
Room was cleaned daily although one day no water was left..........the resort fee at this place is kind of a rip off - It's a simple hotel and I wish they would just put it in their price instead of adding all these stupid resort fees!

My husband and I went to Vegas for the first time, 4-28-13. We used his Wyndham rewards and stayed at this hotel. It was close to the airport. Very accessible to the Strip. The shuttle drivers were courteous, informative, and very cordial/friendly. I cannot remember everyone of the drivers' names, but Daniel was so professional and over all, just a very nice young man. As they were all very nice folks. Jules was at the front desk and checked us in. Talk about a friendly guy. Don't ever lose him. He was informative, friendly, funny!! The rooms were very nice, clean, modern. The one thing I wish you would change, though, is the platform bed frame. We were always hitting our shins on the corners of the bed. I mean always. The bathrooms are clean and modern. Great water pressure. Another problem with the motel was the access to the pool area. They chained the doors to the pool after 10:00 or 10:30. One night it was locked at 7:00 pm. It is not reopened until 8:00 a.m. or so, but the sign says 6:00 am to 10:30 p.m. I am a smoker and abide by everyone's wishes and rules, but sitting out front at 5:30 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. is not a good idea at all. There are a lot of homeless that come out and go thru the trash cans in front of the motel. I truly did not appreciate it. I did not feel safe. They allowed smoking at the pool area, but if it's not open, you have to sit out front. I am a very early riser and am in bed usually by 9:00 p.m. I would have appreciated access to a safer area to smoke. I am not the only smoker left in the world, so I am sure there were others who did not appreciate this as well. The continental breakfast needs a little work, too. There was never any fruit available. Only Eggos, bagels and English muffins. Which, are nice, but some yogurts and fruit would have been nice too. Overall, the motel is nice for the budget conscious. Thanks to Jules, Daniel and all of the other staff for making us feel welcome!

Room Tip: This motel is good for the price. Shuttle service to the strip is very, very good. The drivers are v...

WARNINGS!
* This establishment charges a $9 "resort fee" for amenities that you may or may not use.
* This establishment charges $4 more than the advertised $46 price, on top of the "resort fee"
* The shuttle service IS NOT A SHUTTLE. It is one or two guys in vans. THIS SERVICE can be the cause of GREAT PAIN. Use it ONLY IF YOU HAVE TIME! If you expect punctual, organized service, be prepared for DISAPPOINTMENT and ATTITUDE FROM THE STAFF for complaining. If you book a 4PM Hotel to Airport ride, for example, expect to leave at 4:30. So, if you want to leave a 4PM, make sure you book a 3PM or 3:30PM shuttle.
* THIS ESTABLISHMENT GIVES AWAY ROOMS! When we arrived at 1AM, even though my credit card was charged the previous day, and I did NOT cancel my reservation, it took the receptionist about 20 minutes to find a room for us. At one point, while looking for our room, she said something to the effect of, "I would book you in this room, but it has been reserved for someone else", which basically means the room I reserved was given away, most likely under the assumption that I wasn't coming with my guest because we arrived there at 1AM. Therefore ...
* IF YOU KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO ARRIVE LATE, CALL THIS HOTEL TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A ROOM! They're computer system must be from the 80s because the receptionist was writing things down while looking for a room for us. When she found a room, she called the room (at 1AM) to make sure it was empty. What if it wasn't empty? Woken-up by the receptionist at 1AM!!!! WHAT A DISORGANIZED PLACE!

If you heed the above warnings, you'll have a good stay because the room itself was wonderful, and facilities were clean. There is free wifi (which we didn't use), and a modest, yet satisfying "continental breakfast". Some of the receptionists were great, but here was our experience on check-out day. In the morning, we booked a 4PM shuttle to the airport. Our shuttle to the strip was on-time, and the driver was super nice. He told us to call for a strip pick-up back to the hotel. We did at 3PM. We called the hotel, who gave us the personal cell-phone number of the driver. We called the driver and left a message. 20 minutes later, he called back and told us he'd be 25 minutes, and gave us a random pick-up spot: the benches at the MGM (that was it, nothing specific, and miraculously we found it). After 25 minutes, we called again, and he said he was JUST leaving the hotel, so he'd be another 15 minutes. After he finally came, he made US late for the 4PM shuttle, as well as the two ladies who ALSO booked the 4PM shuttle. We told the receptionist our story, and he just said, "You're arriving here 5 minutes past 4PM". IT WAS THEIR DRIVER'S FAULT! No apology, just attitude. REALLY POOR!

If it weren't for the comfortable, well-designed room, this review would have been "terrible".

Room Tip: Book a king room. Do not rely on shuttle, unless you have plenty of time. Call ahead to make sure th...
