Description: Welcome to Border Grill, Las Vegas' destination restaurant overlooking the Lazy River just off Mandalay Beach, where Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, Bravo's "Top Chef Masters" and Food Network's "Too Hot Tamales," want nothing more than to spice up your day. With two floors of patio dining, and a beautiful outdoor bar, it's the perfect setting for sipping margaritas and savoring the bold flavors of Mexico while enjoying views of the beach and pool. Border Grill Las Vegas is located in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. There's so much to do at Mandalay Bay. The Shark Reef, right next door to the restaurant, features sharks of all kinds, as well as a slew of exotic, predatory marine life. Stop by for fish tacos after and have the last word in the food chain.

The Border Grill is in Mandalay Beach, about a 7-mile walk from your room. OK, I exaggerate slightly, but you will log some distance on your pedometer getting to BG. However, the walk is well worth it.

The Border Grill serves excellent, authentic Mexican food, from two delicious varieties of ceviche, to real fish tacos (corn, not flour, of course), with three delicious salsas to choose from.

Drinks are a bit on the expensive side, particularly the featured drinks, so cerveza may be your better choice. However, everything tried on the menu was tasty, so if you're in the mood for some authentic Mexican food, this is a good spot to choose.

The brunch option is great, BUT make sure to order two or three items at a time. Otherwise you will be waiting for some time as each order is made. Try one of each.

The food was very tasty and unique! I can't comment on price because it was free being wedding related. But the atmosphere was fun, and it is owned by 2 chefs who were on food network.

This is better than many buffets if you like a Mexican theme. You just sit back, relax and have the waitress bring on the food. The portions are small, but we ordered 2 at a time. Our waitress recommended this. We each had 5 different things to try and even shared among us. I would suggest going hungry. The unlimited mimosas are excellent.

A side from the price of $23 for a plate of crap and $11 for a margarita in a small water glass.
I've never tasted worst anything in my life. Started with a basket of chips and 3 great tasting mild salsas. Then the meal arrived with a spoonful of the toughest shredded pork I've ever eaten, with a glob of unidentified brown stuff that sort of tasted like pumpkin. Then included were brussel Sprouts that were not on the menu and I'm on blood thinners and never to eat brussel sprouts. So my wife tried them and spit them out...burnt tasting.
Having a hispanic son-in-law, I have been exposed to a LOT of different Mexican foods and how they can call this Mexican themed is an insult to Mexicans everywhere.
Save your money and taste buds and get a Slice of Pizza at Mandalay Place.
