We were shocked at the low room rate with no resort fee. The rooms were 600 sq. ft. and really comfortable. We were only there one night and they let us stay late until 1:00 pm. We ate breakfast, hit golf balls at Angel Park (across the street), gambled in the casino, and went swimming before heading on our five hour drive home. It was 15 min. off the Strip and we will make it our Las Vegas Hotel from now on. We had so much fun that we forgot to dread the drive home.
Hope this helps you enjoy Las Vegas,

Priscilla

Room Tip: We asked for the Spa Tower 6th floor facing the golf course and mountains. Wonderful view with a ste...

We really enjoyed this resort. It's partnered with the casino but doesn't own the casino which is attached to the resort. If you want to stay in the heart of the action, pick a different place. It's a 20 minute drive to the strip and then you have the traffic to contend with. However, if you're after somewhere in Vegas, off strip, with a nice pool area, good selection of bars and reasonably priced restaurants - this place could be for you. Only built in the 90's. the resort is showing it's age, but I would stay there again - and at the end of the day that's an endorsement.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor balcony room

The hotel itself is decent, and the outdoor area is nice, but the restaurants get severe smoke blow through from the casino area. There's no way they are up to code with smoke evac or filters. Our room was quiet and peaceful for the most part. The resort seems to cater to the "over 55" crowd (lots of "55+ discount" signs). If your 55 or over and smoke, then this is the place for you! YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Room Tip: check your view before unpacking. If it's obstructed by a palm tree like mine, change rooms whi...

We knew this JW Marriott was off the beaten path. We knew that Marriotts have a certain similarity about them, usually comforting and not dramatic. We knew Las Vegas is the glitz and glamor capital of the world. But this JW Marriott Resort and Spa just lacked it all. We were in the Palms Tower. The only staff we saw there were chamber maids and valet guys. The "welcome" desk was never staffed during our 5 night stay. Over the weekend, glassware and trash bags were left around the elevator area.
The connector to the casino and Spa Tower was not attractive, looked deserted and was sprinkled with unfrequented restaurants. The guests were a much older crowd and meal time and prices were certainly geared to the senior set.
We were told that the hotel is 14 years old. It needs a facelift, for sure. The gym was adequate but not everything in their relaxation pools worked. The casino is quiet and smokey, but the minimum bids were favorable.
The best things about this Marriott were the grounds and Denyse at the Concierge Desk. The grounds are quite beautiful and well kept. Denyse was incredibly helpful. Staff at the front desk mixed things up more than once. The mattress pads were unbelievably lumpy. We will be on the Strip next visit.

Room Tip: Probably better to have a room in the Spa Tower

I recently went to revisit JW Marriott Las Vegas for a second visit in 10 years. Rooms are big and nice. It is nice to be away from the strip in Summerlin. They are attached to the Rampart Casino so you may want to enjoy a little bit of fun without being overwhelmed. Room service was good.

Traveled with family to Jw Marriott Las Vegas. Had amazing 2 bedroom suite. Wonderful location and first class service. Quiet setting away from strip, and yet only a 15 minute drive if you wish to visit strip. An array of excellent resturants and shops. Also a very good casino on site.

Room Tip: higher the floor the better

Quick overnight trip as part of large group. There was a lot of confusion checking in which had over 100 of us marching from one end of the resort to the other to various reception desks to check us in. There wasnt enough staff available to do this and even though the staff that were there were very helpful , it took well over an hour to check us all in .

The rooms and especially the bathrooms were fabulous. We had spent a week camping and running 170 miles through the desert self supported and we were tired , sore and filthy . The ensuites were a little bit of heaven. The beds were very comfortable.

Didnt have time to explore the rest of the resort as we had wasted so much time at receptioin but it all looked very self contained. I would like to have had the opportunity on my one visit to Vegas to see the strip but this was so far away it wasnt possible to go there with limited time.
We had a private buffet meal which was very nice , but late serving and the bar was very expensive at it ...9$ for a glass of wine ...is this usual?
Live music at the Irish bar (nothing Irish about it , no Irish pub beverages etc ) was excellent .
