We had stayed here in 2000 when it was the Regent and, remarkably, our room price was the same this trip as it was back then. Quality had only slid a little, which is saying a lot since the place is at least 13 years old now. We were in a King room and it was very spacious, could have easily crammed another King into the room. The bathroom was huge, jetted tub and separate shower. Some sort of damage to the wallpaper, like a hole had been patched, was in the main room.

Room rate was OK, pricing it now it looks like we overpaid by about $30/night. Silver Marriott status got us comped (when we asked for it) in room wifi. All but one restaurant closed on Friday night before midnight, disappointing as all restaurants in the residential neighborhood the hotel is in also closed up by then too. Self parking is quite a hike from the lobby, so get ready for that, but you're also not required to trek through the casino like most Vegas hotels.

I'd most likely return here, wish a better price had been offered. My wife booked the trip as a surprise for me so I won't complain in this instance...

Room Tip: Price multiple sources. Check AAA rates as you might be able to recover the AAA membership cost in just a few nights.

We had a great stay at this hotel from the moment we arrived. Staff was welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and in almost perfect repair. Coffee in the room was, let's say, reason to go to starbucks.
The wet area was our favorite part of the room. Deep spa tub for two and a rain shower separate. A call for additional towels and bottled water was taken care of quickly and we even got a follow up call to make sure our needs were met.

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. If you like running water, this is your heaven on earth.

I would highly recommend considering this property for a nice relaxing getaway.

Dave

Room Tip: get a jr suite or better and one facing the water areas.

Tagged along with my husband who was on a course nearby - stayed here as it was recommended by organizer.

Check in went well, large clean room with huge bathroom. We booked CAA/AAA rate and had breakfast included as part of our package.

A few issues with shuttle to and from the course location but that was eventually worked out. The shuttle to the strip leaves at 10 am but doesn't return until 6 so unless you are planning on an 8 hour excursion to the mall or strip, be prepared to dish out $40-55 on cab fare back.

Food - Good breakfast overlooking the waterfalls. Had decent snacks/drinks at Pub, friendly staff, live entertainment. Dinner at Italian restaurant good - see separate review.

Saw their ad for "mistle-toe"pedicure so treated myself to that - nicely done. Fitness centre very nice but a little on the $$ side. Pool was closed for season when I was there so can't comment on that.

The hotel also offers a $10 voucher (per day) to be applied towards food or spa if you do not use housekeeping services. Internet is approx $10 per day.

All staff encountered very helpful, lovely hotel, grounds well maintained. Only <con> is it is definitely far removed from shopping, restaurants, shows, airport etc. so if you do not have a car and want to do any of the above without a scheduled shuttle, be prepared to cough up lots of cab fare.

When we planned our road trip and knew that we were stopping in Vegas, we looked for a place on the strip. We tried to find a decent place to stay with our young kids, but nothing sounded "right" so we chose this hotel and I am so happy we did. The hotel is beautiful and only about 20 minutes from the strip. We weren't really looking for the excitement of Vegas, but we just wanted to see it. It was definitely nicer to stay in a quiet location and drive to the strip so we could sleep well. Not the place if you want to be in the middle of the action, but great if you want peace. Also, bonus for us: Whole Foods is close by which is a good place to grab a quick bite to eat.

I've always enjoyed off-strip casinos, for the more-friendly staff, less-crowded floors, etc. This was no exception, plus add a fabulous spa and golf course! Accommodations were also top-notch, as I would expect from a JWM. One detractor: the spa's "heated" pool wasn't!
