“Very good tour group”
Reviewed January 4, 2011

I was initially apprehensive of booking with a tour group, for a trip to Grand Canyon, which was not that famous. But the fears were unwarranted. The website had a lot of info, it was easy to book the tour and the response from their staff was incredible.
The coach was very comfortable, and the driver had a nice sense of humor which made the 14hr journey to the South rim easy. I would gladly recommend this tour group for the Grand Canyon tour. And their price does beat out most other tour groups.

Hi bpr81 - Thanks for the kind words. We take a lot of pride in our website because that's where the majority of our guests reserve their bus tours. Your feedback confirms that we are on the right course. You'll be pleased to know that the luxury coaches your familiar with are now upgraded with free Wi-Fi...a perk that visitors are really warming up to. It's a challenge to continue offering the South Rim bus tour at that low rate that we do but its one we refuse to hike up. We don't expect anything to change soon, either, except for bigger, newer coaches. Try us again when you come back to Las Vegas. I think you'll be impressed with where we've taken this tour.

“Western Rim with optional skywalk”
Reviewed November 5, 2010

We recently took this bus tour. They picked us up from Caesar's Palace and brought us to the Stratosphere where another bus, which was mostly full, was waiting. We got on that bus. Trip there took 2.5 hours and we stopped at a small convenience store for 15 minutes. We couldn't see Hoover dam from the bus on the trip there.
We arrived at the Hualapai terminal and got tickets from the bus driver for the tour. Got on another bus, which dropped us at Eagle Point. Got on the Skywalk and had our pic taken. They charge $30 per photo. We got two. The skywalk is worth the extra $35.
Next got on another bus which dropped us at Guano point. The food wasn't so good, but the area is very picturesque. Took lots of pics. Got on the bus back to the terminal. Saw the hoover dam on the way back. I thought they were going to stop, but they don't. You have to be on the right side of the bus to see the dam well. Be aware, the driver expects a 15-20% tip when you finish the trip.

Hi marctravis - We agree that the Grand Canyon Skywalk is a must-do when visiting the West Rim. Taking a camera onto the Glass Bridge is still frowned on by the Hualapai Tribe and it's always been something we hoped would change. Until then, yes, always go with the deluxe photo package. The pictures are really nice because a professional photographer takes them so you want to make sure you get all the shots. Hoover Dam's always been a bit tricky on the Skywalk bus tour because it's a balancing act between more time at the Canyon or at the Dam. In nearly all cases, visitors want to spend time at the Canyon. Not sure who your driver was but we put the kibosh on the expectation of generous tips. Rule of thumb is if you felt your driver enhanced your trip, then tip accordingly. Thanks for traveling with us!

“Better than driving”
Reviewed August 16, 2009

If you want to do a day trip to the Grand Canyon, this is really the way to go. It is not ideal by any means. They make you meet at 6:05, which means you have to get up even earlier! Then they take you to this "holding place" where they give you a "continental breakfast." It is a cheap breakfast pastry and juice box, so take snacks!! We were there till like 9:00. (This was the most frustrating part of the trip!!!!!!!!)

Then you go to the Hoover Dam, stop for pics for 10 mins. Then a couple rest stops. The one our bus driver Jeffery stopped at was VERY crappy. There was a Subway, but it was SO dirty! Our guide talked the WHOLE way! All, I wanted to do was sleep, but he would not stop talking! Although, I did learn a lot from him! They gave us a lunch voucher and took us to the park.

The weather in LV when we left was 101. When we got to the Grand Canyon was 79, when a storm came. It went from 79 to 50 and hail in like 30 mins. It was so crazy....so dress prepared!!!

The bottom line is that the Grand Canyon it so beautiful you won't care about all the crap you go through to get there. It may be the longest day of your life, but worth it!! I would recommend this tour! NO added fees/costs. $80 is $80. You do have to buy dinner on the way home, but they do tell you that.

Rachee1025 - It's no secret that the Grand Canyon is worth the adventure getting there. I will say that we've made big improvements on the grab-and-go breakfast but still recommend that guests pack snacks. We take pride in the quality of our driver/guides and it's great to hear that Jeffery's knowledge added to your Canyon experience. Good point on the weather because temperatures can change significantly when you go from 2,500 feet to 7,200 feet (for those reading this review please dress accordingly, especially during winter!). We agree that the price is right. Nobody else offers this much value and we're happy you were able to benefit from it.
