“Blu Pool relaxing”
Reviewed May 22, 2013 via mobile

rooms average...ambience ok...quick access to Paris facility buy truly the Blu Pool was great. Cabana rental for the day at $130 is well worth it...comfortable...table service...Danilo was very hospitable and helpful...drinks expensive at $8 beer widemouth bottles and $15 mixed drinks. You have access to the paris pool but blu pool much nicer set up

We usually stay at Flamingo but decided to give Bally's a try this year. We weren't sorry. Upon arrival we asked for any complimentary upgrades and received an upgrade to a Grand Suite in the North Tower. Although the furnishing are a little outdated, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. Not only did we receive an upgrade, we also got a fridge put in the room at no extra charge and when we checked out, they removed the safe charges. It is definitely not for hotel snobs but regular folk like my husband and I were more than happy

The staff are excellent. We never have our room cleaned everyday but if our housekeeping girl saw us in the hall, she was sure to ask if we had everything we needed. I found everyone working at Bally's to be extremely friendly and more than willing and happy to help.

We travelled with 3 other couples and all of us agreed that Bally's will be our first choice on our next trip.

One last note, the pool is great. Not a lot of kids and the pool and area are so big there's never a problem finding somewhere to sit.

Disappointed in the lack of care or up to date old furniture in room. It is a good location tho. Customer service is the best part of this place. Staff goes beyond helping you locate anything in the casino or hotel.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the Paris tower and Bellagio water show. Awesome but you can hear the water show...

We just got back from our fourth trip to Vegas. Granted one of our stays was at the Bellagio for our 25th anniversary. The Bellagio can spoil you with what Vegas has to offer in luxury accommodations. Our two other trips we stayed at the Paris and were excellent and the accommodations were superb. This was our first trip to Bally’s but we knew the Paris was very nice and Bally’s was connected (via walkway) to the Paris, so it must be similar in quality, right? WRONG!

At check-in (we had reserved a standard room), we were offered an upgrade to a luxury suite with a view of the strip for only $25 per day. We thought that wasn’t too bad and we hadn’t had a strip view in any of our previous stays. We thought a suite would be nice to stretch out it and relax during off times from the casinos, etc. WRONG again! The suite upgrade is not worth the price, period! ()Note: we stayed in Room 6712). It simply is an outdated room with a large expanse between the king bed and the 41” flat screen. You are too far from the screen to really enjoy it while in the bed. It feels as though they combined two rooms but did nothing to decorate the area or make it have any sense of flow, feel or style. It is simply a large area with absolutely no functionality other than to sleep. The furniture is old, very dated (probably from the 80’s it appears) and looks like it came from a Motel 6. The carpet was in such sad shape. Worn, faded and showing its age and in our room it also came with a rumpled lined where it had bunched up that ran the length of the room from the bathroom area to the window overlooking the Strip. (Note: I took pictures to verify all of these conditions and will update this post when I get them downloaded on my computer).

The room smelled of heavy chlorine when we arrived and was prevalent for the entire week. The bathroom area is split into his/her vanities. The faucets on the sink in my wife’s side leaked around the faucet when you turned on the water. She had to put towels around the faucets to catch the water and keep it from overflowing onto the floor. We called hotel maintenance that day and reported the problem and requested it be repaired. We were assured it would be taken care of but when we returned that evening, towels were still around the fixtures and nothing had been done. So I called the maintenance people again and had to badger them in order to get the problem resolved.

The room came equipped with a tub (never used) that was oddly (and dangerously) located in the bathroom area. It is in the middle of the area between the split closet areas and had a railing in front as a guard. (I assume this railing was added after someone must have inadvertently fallen in one night while walking to the bathroom?) This tub placement is a real accident waiting to happen. (Again, I have pictures!) I’ve read others comments about the motion-sensored light over the bathtub that comes on when you walk near the area. I’m sure this would have driven us crazy. I know it’s probably an added safety feature to prevent you from falling in but it’s got to be a nuisance with the activated light coming on with minimal movement in that area (especially in the night while your spouse is sleeping). Thankfully, our bulb was burned out and we never reported it to housekeeping.

The showers were very small for a room designated as a “suite”. The grouting was old, dirty and cracking in places. The shower fixture was coming apart and the ring at the top that fits against the tile was falling away from the tile and down the shower head. The wallpapering was coming apart in various places in the room but especially noticeable in the bathroom (which again was VERY small for a room designated as a “suite”).

On top of it all, they charge you $3/day when you use the safe (it ought to be included in the price of the room). And at check out, I discovered there is a “Resort Fee” of $16/day to “provide our guests with the one-device per day wi-fi connection in the room and the fitness/workout area. I asked if that could be declined and deducted from the bill and was told it was not possible.

The one “as advertised” part of the room was the view of the Strip. It was nice and the view is beautiful. But this is a hotel in desperate need of a total renovation. It’s a great location but a crappy hotel. We will return to Vegas again, I’m sure, but I can guarantee we will not be staying at Bally’s. We’ll look for other suite deals at some other hotel, but not this one.

Well... there are too many hotels in Las Vegas...for the beginner like me it is confusing to pick up one of them. Bally got my attention, when i arrived it iwas so easy to check in even there were so many guests were on making a line. Receptionnistes were very efficient, i could say. They do not make any fuss, you name yourself with ID and credit card, your signature. That's it.
The room was spacious, the bed was confortable and everything works well. The cleanliness is ok only the vitrine of the window was a little bit dirty of guests' hands' traces.

The casino is also perfect and some of restaurants inside offert standardized of menus. Nothing is new or special but still delicious fro breakfast and dinner. I could recommend this hotel but you could try another since there are so many of them have nice offer too.

Room Tip: Higher floor is better

There are a lot flasher hotels here, but we don't spend a lot of time in the room so this was fine for us. Location is great - pretty much half way down the strip. Big room, and big bathroom. Check in/out queues were long at times, but we looked at most of the casinos around town and noticed they all had the same queues. Pool area was nice, casino is smokey - but again every other casino was the same. Would stay here again

I've heard people complain about this hotel, I don't see anything wrong it it! The location was perfect, had a monorail station, and the gaming was great! Booked a north tower room, but with the 20 dollar trick was upgraded to a North Tower Grand Suite. Excellent room with a jacuzzi tub in the middle. Maid service was prompt and through. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Room Tip: 20 dollar trick might get you a upgraded room depending on availability.
