Saturday, march 14th I went on the Grand Canyon West tour with Big Horn tours. Scott the driver picked me up 15 mins. late in the company's great shiny Hummer H2. After apologizing sincerely and introduced me to the other people on the tour, a Brazilian couple, we were off to GCW.The stop at Rosie's Den was fun but the drive to GCW after that, through mostly off road drives, was better. We saw mustangs, cattle and lots of desert flora. Scott explained it all while his Old West music soundtrack pumps us up. At Grand Canyon West, I did the pontoon boat( great) and Skywalk(so- so) options. Lunch was good and afterwards Scott led us to this hill at Guano point where we took lots of pictures, including some funny ones. We got back in Vegas at 6pm. Fun tour and would do it again with these guys. Thank you Scott and Big Horn Tours! - Ringgo A.

Wanted to visit the Grand Canyon while we were staying in Las Vegas but didn't want to go on a tour bus so we booked a private Hummer Tour with Big Horn Wild West tours. Picked up from our hotel at 6.30am by Bill (company owner) in a pristine white Hummer. My wife and I plus two girls (10 and 11) settled in for what was a great day out. (Tip - pick up a Starbucks for the first part of the drive.) Bill gave us a great commentary as we drove out of Las Vegas and up to the Hoover Dam, worth seeing as it's on the way but I think it means more to Americans. Stopped for a great breakfast at a very authentic road side diner and then turned off the road for a cross country track drive to the Canyon. Kids slept all the way which shows how good Bill's driving was and the great suspension on the Hummer. It's a long drive there but worth it for the experience and Bill's commentary was very informative about the history and wildlife of the areas we were driving through.

Grand Canyon West is of course touristy but with Bill as our private guide (even reserving us a lunch table!) we got more out of it than regular visitors. We didn't do the Skywalk or the helicopter trip to the bottom but both looked scary fun! On the way back I did think we could have gone direct on the roads and not stopped at the Hoover Dam to save 30 mins on the journey but we were still back and in the pool by 4pm.

Overall the perfect private trip to the Canyon from Las Vegas and very good value compared to the tourist bus tours.
