We stayed there a couple nights on our way through to Los Angeles. The hotel and rooms were clean and spacious. You get free access to the observational deck, Las Vegas looks great at night. The area around the hotel is not one you want to walk around after dark, and run down.

Room Tip: Area around the hotel isn't safe after dark.

I just came home from spending 4 days at the Stratosphere and I loved the place. Had none of the problems the other reviewers talked about. No constant cigarette smell, good food and multiple choices to eat, clean room with a nice view.

Of course ypu cant beat the view from the 109th floor which is the observation deck. It is all in one thrilling and romantic. The best seat in the house.

My only real complaint was that the wifi was none existant. They charge for faster service but it should be included in the resort fee.

I will definitly return to the Stratosphere and will recommend it.

The Stratosphere Hotel can usually be found at a reasonable price, this is why we booked it. The area surrounding the hotel can be sketchy at night but it is close enough to the main part of the strip where a cab ride will not cost you much. The room we had was clean and service was good. If you are looking to save money I would recommend staying here.

They gave us a room that a motel 6 would have been ashamed of went back to the lobby and another $112 we were upgraded after another $100 in a resort fee to get to our "upgraded room" to find no coffee maker or fridge "another $10 a day" they do not care about there guests only charging for every cheap nasty accomidation! Spend the extra money upfront on a hotel that includes the basics!! We will not return!

The hotel room was newly refurbished and nice, clean, comfy beds. Pool is on the 8th floor and is decent too. We had a car, so it was no big deal - but I wouldn't recommend staying here without a car as the area is sketchy and I definitely would't walk around here. As others said, retail area is old and junky. The free tower access is nice with a great view. IMO, it would not be worth $18 per person however - unless you're sky diving or going on a ride. All in all - very cheap and decent stay if you don't need to walk around.

We checked in on March 27th and found it very easy to get to on our way back from Bryce Canyon.
Our room was lovely very comfy beds and nice decor. We stayed to get the discount on the Jump and the savings on the tower access as well. We did miss the fridge and coffee maker that we are accustomed to having and the bathroom had a urine smell from a shower curtain that should have been changed. All in all it was a fun stay and the Jump was so amazing and the staff there were very efficient and the safety measures were impressive.Would definitely recommend it to friends and family!
