Ok was fine. Nothing special but also not a disappointment. We got good deal so we chose this hotel. Room was nice and comfortable. Problem was only air-condition because it was very noise. Best things was Big shot. I love adrenaline and combination with speed and great view was unique.

Night or day the views over Las Vegas from the Stratosphere Tower are spectacular.

The hotel and casino itself are average and to be fair, it was a little too far from the strip to walk. But it has the 'highest bar in town' and its no surprise people get a bit giddy and propose. For us, the best views of the city were from the external observation deck. The rides over the edge of the building were just enough to be thrilling but didn't tempt us. But we almost flagged it because the elevator in the gift store took ages. The assistant finally suggested we could walk up the one flight of stairs - who knew.

Although the hotel was 'full' the week before Memorial Weekend, we were told for an extra $20 per night we could book a select room, 10th floor with a view of the strip.

Our room was relatively spacious and clean with big TV. Although the aircon worked adequately it was quite basic. The room had a good view of the swimming pool but only the very tail end of the strip. There was no mini bar fridge replaced by a sturdy electronic safe. Annoyingly, the hotel had no free internet, at $12 for 24 hours it was expensive. Our travel buddies complained their rooms were very small and basic and they had to walk across the casino floor to reach the facilities.

We did however have easy access to the gym, swimming pool, tower entrance, shops and restaurant, better than crossing the casino floor in sweat pants or bathers. There was a good range of cardio and weights equipment in the gym. The swimming pool opened at 9am and a nice view of the mountains and the tower above. It also had an on-duty lifeguard and was child friendly but we hear it gets super crowded at peak times.

Best find - the on-site tattooist who was $100 cheaper than out on the strip and available at a reasonable time. We spent a fair bit of time looking for a good tattooist but they were right under our noses.

Room Tip: Select rooms have easy access to hotel facilities.

I stayed here in June for my birthday (6/20) I must admit, the newly remodeled rooms are very nice. Early check-in was a breeze. Yea its not in the fancy end of the strip, but you’re only five minutes away. And honestly, the room is room sleeping, which you shouldn’t be doing in Vegas anyway. Unlimited access to the tower, which has great view. I would definitely recommend this place for you if you or on a budget and still want a room at an affordable price. Like I said, it’s well worth the price you. Don’t know anything about the casino because I don’t gamble. But as far as the hotel itself, very nice and affordable.

Massive hotel at the end of the Vegas Strip. Well appointed rooms but basic, wash basin is in the room not in bathroom and without the usual coffee maker - they obviously want you to buy coffees from one of their many franchises throughout the hotel.
Beds and pillows are a little on the firm side. Rooms are not the cleanest I have seen.
You won't go hungry here, as with all Vegas hotels it is run like a small town with anything you want within the hotel. The Buffet is excellent value at $13 for breakfast and $20 for dinner - all you can eat with choice of foods from around the world and a carvery. Register for an AcePlay card and you can get up to 25% discount in the buffet and 10% in some of the other eateries.
For transport down the Strip, the Deuce bus stops outside the hotel, on which you can buy a $6 two hour ticket or an $8 ticket so you can hop on and off the bus at your leisure over a 24hour period.
Hotel guests can gain free entry to the top of the tower [saving $18]. The views are terrific. Costs for the rides at the top of the tower are around $15. If you want you can even throw yourself off the tower in their Skydrop 'ride'.
Overall, the hotel has seen better days and there appear to be brighter, newer hotels further up the Strip. BUt if you want to stay for a few days in Las Vegas and have a smaller budget, then Stratosphere is probably the right place for you.

We rented one of the "top line" suites on a deal, room went for over $300 on the weekend, $75 on sunday through thursday, should have known, room was filthy, stains on the floor, the couch, the walls, everywhere, this was the top of the list "Oasis Suite" what a joke!!
The hallways were littered with trash a food, gang and ghetto parties going on in the hallway all night, very LARGE presence of gang members of all groups in the casino, did not feel safe with my in the casino area.
The crowd here is very young due to the cheap prices, you could tear the place down and leave the tower, no one would miss this dive!

Room Tip: Don't fall for the cheap prices, they are that low for a reason!

Me and my husband are locals, and stayed for a night for our anniversary. We arrived Sunday afternoon, upon entering the casino from the parking garage, a staff member greeted us and directed us to the check in desk. There was a bit of a line at check in, but not a big deal. The lady who checked us in was friendly. Got to our room in the central tower on the 23rd floor. The hallway had been redone and looked nice. When we got to our floor, the hallway reeked of the smell of weed! Even our room smelled like it. Our room obviously hadn't been updated as the furniture was very dated looking. Housekeeping could've been better as well. The bathroom counter could've used a wiping down. An old water bottle was on the floor near the back of the dresser and luggage rack. Parts of the lamps were covered in a layer of dust. We gambled a bit that night and were pleasantly surprised with how long we were able to play with the small amount of money we put into the machines. Had annoying neighbors who thought it was ok to hanging out in the hallway and talk loudly at 2 am.

Overall my biggest complaint was the sloppy housekeeping....

We started out in an Oasis suite. We got in really late due to air travel delays, when we got a good look at the room and tried to take a shower we requested another room. The women at the front desk was very helpful and said a new Oasis suite would be ready at noon. At 88 dollars a day- it was a great deal. We went to the front desk at 1230 to see if the suite was ready- no not yet. But they said they would up grade us to a penthouse for 150 a day. Being our 25-wedding anniversary, we decided to go for it. The penthouse suite was OK, nothing to knock your sock off with. There was a sticky spot next to the bed that we had to be aware of all of the time. Not worth the 150 dollars a day. Nice view. Room still smells like smoke, and the elevator was right next to us, so we could here that in our living room. Room service for breakfast is the way to go. But then comes out check out.... We had four keys we were not sure why. Then we found out that there was another room attached to our room that was costing us another 88 dollars a day. Ouch didn't see that extra bill coming. The pool was nice and it is on the quiet end of the strip. Has some rides on the tower for kids; you can jump off of it as well. Not sure it would be enough to bring kids to. I would look at circus circus or the Orleans to bring kids to.

Room Tip: If you stay here rent a car. Driving in Vegas is not all that bad. Bring your own GPS. There are man...
