The room was extremely clean, and it was a fairy large hotel. The location was at the North of the strip, so it wasn't completely central but wasn't that far out of the way of the main hotels/clubs.

However it wasn't that great for us unfortunately. The wifi cost $12/day. The room was also quite dated. The staff were not rude, but not that friendly to deal with. I'd say if you're on a bit of a budget this is an okay hotel, but if you can afford to spend more I'd recommend something else.

We stayed at the Stratosphere for 3 nights, it was a nice hotel, great beds and a nice little roof top pool. The casino and lounge were underwhelming, as were the dining options. There was a great little Mexican taco shop upstairs, and the view from the top of the tower is really beatiful- especially at night. It was a pretty good walk from the rest of the strip, we enjoyed the walk down there every night, but preferred to take a taxi back after dark, as it's past a big deserted hotel, and some shady strip malls.
All in all, it was a really nice visit to Vegas, but I think we'll stay closer to the action next time.

Arrived for a short (2 night) stay in Vegas on Saturday about 4pm. Huge line to check in, took about 40 minutes. Wasn't expecting the stench of stale smoke, as I forgot that casinos are exempt from the civility rules the rest of most civilized countries now have regarding clean air to breath indoors. Aside from this, the place was very nice. 6th floor room (travelocity package) was clean and fairly spacious, staff was very pleasant, and the location is superb (plus free parking garage that makes it a breeze). I just had to find the shortest way in to the 'select' elevators leading to my room without having to navigate the casino floor. Once I did that, no worries! Checking out was immediate. I'd have no problem returning.

I stayed at this hotel during a pleasure trip to Vegas and found it to be a good value. The hotel rooms are newly renovated. You actually get a lot of space and nice furnishings for a moderate price, which is nice. However, do note that what you get as a discount on the room, the hotel makes up for elsewhere. If you need a spoon or access to a microwave…that’s extra. The Stratosphere is near the bottom of the main strip, but is close to old Vegas. I would recommend this hotel as a good value to anyone visiting Vegas for a short trip.

Also, visit the Top of The World Restaurant...good food and great view!

Room Tip: If you hate smoke, get a room on as high a level possible.

This was the second time I have stayed here and it will be the last t time. The bath room was the worst I have ever attempted to use. The shower head was hard to reach to adjust. The bath soap was terrible! The speaker in the TV was so bad that it was hard to understand what was being said. The remote for the TV was very hard to adjust. I was not able to use the express checkout through the tv for it was not accessible. The escalators and elevators were not always working and had to go through the casino to another set of elevators to get back to our room. Overall, it was the worst experience we have ever had and would not stay here again for it is also to far from other casinos.
