The stratosphere is a C+ rating, however, many of the cons that face this hotel really have nothing to do with the Stratoshpere directly. The room are inexpensive and you really get what you pay for. The quality of the rooms is a little higher than a standard travel lodge and the bathroom is nothing fancy whatsoever. The pool is a little bit out dated... Nothing to write home about. The pool and the rooms are truly the only down falls of the hotel directly. The other cons are the type of people that roam in and around the Stratoshpere... A lot of homeless, creepy, and scary people tend to frequent the perimeter and interioir of the Stratoshpere. Also, the location is less than par. It's a LONG walk to the actually heart of the strip and the location feels less than safe... Not an area you would want to walk at night time with your wife or kids.
The pros: cheap rooms, extremely friendly staff (casino, hotel, room service, cocktail servers)
Please note!! If you have a phobia of confined spaces DO NOT STAY HERE! Very low ceilings in the hallways to the rooms with no windows!More
