Upon arrival I a hour late but they did not have my room type, but they gave me a upgrade which was nice. The valets were the best, frontdesk was great, and housekeepers were awesome. It was my first time there and I have been to Vegas 6 times. The location is minutes from the Old Vegas strip but just minutes from the New strip.

The food at the buffet was great and cheap, which was nice and a IHOP is right around the corner if you prefer.
I travel alot and I look for great places that I would return to and This Place Is One!!
I traveled to Atlantic City a few days before and it was Bad, But Vegas is worth the Money Every time.. Thanks Vegas you did it again.... Very Happy.....

This was our first time in Vegas, and we liked the Stratosphere. The rooms were clean, and the tower was amazing! It was too far from the Strip to walk, but we had a car rental and there is plenty of free parking at the other casinos, so it wasn't a problem. In fact, navigating the traffic on the Strip was not nearly as bad as we thought it would be. For the price, I would definitely stay there again over the other hotels.

I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews on here, but on arrival at the hotel, check-in was quick and efficient, we were given a room on the 20th floor in the re-furbished part of the hotel which was exceptionally clean with 2 huge queen sized beds, a wide screen tv and gorgeous views over the mountains. The bathroom was large and clean with a selection of toiletries and more towels than you could ever hope to use, which were changed every day.

A trip up the Tower is a must (free to hotel guests) and those that are brave enough (not me) have to try at least one of the rides on offer here. The views from the 109 deck are breathtaking both in the daytime and the nighttime. The casino area downstairs has a very friendly feel and free drinks flow quite regularly as long as you're playing on one of the hundreds of flashing machines, tip the waitress and she'll look after you all night.

As for the location...yes it is out of the way of the Strip's cluster of Hotel Madness, but it is served well by the Deuce bus (stop located at the North end of the hotel) and the X-press bus (Stop outside Carl's Diner North End again) 8 dollars gets you a 24 hour ticket, make sure you have the correct money when you buy on the bus as they don't give change. And it is nice walking back into The Stratosphere after experiencing the madness of The Strip.

The pool area is very clean and well maintained, and the jacuzzi was very welcome after a trip to the Outlet Shopping Mall.

If I was ever to come back to Vegas, this would be the place that I would choose

Although the staff was wonderful and the accomodations were very nice, I have to give this hotel a poor review due to the fact that you could hear everything through the walls. Including entire conversations and people having sex. Unbelievable!! Also, the casino was extremely smokey.....very poor ventilation.

We are 3 ladies and stay at the Stratosphere every time, we find it very safe and in all the times that we have visited we have not seen any trouble. We do not find it difficult to get about as we travel on the deuce bus which stops both ways right outside the hotel door. It is great value for money. I cannot wait to go back

The Stratosphere has been recently remodeled and most rooms are clean and adequate. Gambling value is high as there are many five dollar tables throughout the casino. Food options are limited but if you're willing to pay for it, the Top of the Tower restaurant and the Italian restaurant (don't recall the name) are excellent! Not the best part of town, but the room rates are attractive and it's much less busy/hectic than other casinos. Definitely worth a shot if you're on a budget. Not a great value if you plan to take taxis to the heart of the strip (one-way ride to Caesars Palace is approximately $20 including tip).

Room Tip: Ask for a recently remodeled room. Tower that has elevators by Starbucks is newly renovated.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night because it was cheapest we can get on the strip for a weekend night. It really is on the strip but very far down.

We didn't take the option to upgrade to a renovated room ($20) so we got an older one. Room was old and it showed. Had to call up a housekeeper to change our sheets because there were little stains on it.

Other than the old room, it's a nice hotel, they have rides on the top that are pretty fun. We did the skyjump which is a must if you're staying there!

Good hotel if you're planning to do the rides or check out Fremont street ($10 cab). Otherwise, stay somewhere closer to the strip.
