“Fun, clean slightly out of town”

It si at the least salubrious end of the strip but in easy walking distance. Plenty of car parking. It is clean and the tower itself is great. All good ammenities. It was very cheap to stay there but we were hit by a venue charge per head. Should be included in the price as it is COMPULSORY. If I returned to Vegas I would stay there again.

The rooms have been refurbished and are still a great value for the money. I usually stay Sunday through Friday, so I don't see the large weekend crowds; while I was there (my seventh or eighth stay) casino games and tables were available. It's on Las Vegas Blvd. but not considered on the strip. It's easy enough to get to other properties via The Deuce.

Room Tip: Ask not to be located on the eighth floor; there's heavy foot traffic going to and from the pool...

I am astonished at all the nice reviews about the hotel at the Stratosphere!!! I don't know what happened, but the room I got was AWFUL! Paint was peeling from the walls, it was dusty, carpet was stained, toilet and shower was chipped and stained... I cannot even list it all! It was disgusting!!!! I regret not taking photos to post on here, I was too embarrassed to even be in that room!

Upon talking to the manager about it, she stated they have "upgraded rooms". Well if I would have known this, I would have booked an upgraded one! By the time we had complained they were booked up, so we moved to a must nicer hotel.

The casino, dining, rides, staff, etc are GREAT just DO NOT STAY HERE! Take a taxi there for a evening eat at the Top of the World and ride the rides and then taxi back to your nice room on the strip!

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else!

Chose stratosphere for well-priced rooms and strip location, although a fair way up. Catch the deuce bus to get to the strip, $7/24hours. Recommend 'stratosphere select ' as these rooms are renovated and really quite nice. Rooms were quite noisy with paper-thin walls (hallway noise, neighbor coughing!) but who comes to Vegas for peace n quiet anyway. Staying here comes with unlimited access to the tower, which in a word, is amazing. Unparalleled view of the strip from above as well as greater Vegas surrounds. Good selection of on-site restaurants, Starbucks too. Visited the buffet several times! Located near ihop. Since we visited in winter I didn't use or see the pool and other facilities. Overall enjoyed our stay, for the price it was great value. If you don't mind catching the bus to strip this is a good choice

Check In was a little slow, however once you got to the front of the line, the staff were very friendly. You have to walk through the Casino at get to lifts, which is a little smoke filled, more noticeable than over powering.

The room was very nice, clean, large, well maintained each day, comfortable bed, good size flat screen TV. We ate in the breakfast buffet one day, which was very good value for nice quality food. The pool area is great, situated on the 8th floor. Pool and hot tub are both a decent size.

The hotel is a 20 - 30 minute walk down to the main Strip area. The Monorail isn't far and the Strip bus stops right outside, plenty of taxis are outside the hotel. I can understand what folks say about walking round the immediate area after dark. The parking is plentiful and easy to walk straight into the hotel.

The selection of shops in the hotel is limited compared to others. Fast food type mainly, including a small McDs. There is a Starbucks situated on the Casino floor.

IHOP is about 50 yards down the road.

I really liked the hotel and in value for money terms, I would find it hard to beat. The only downside for me was the distance to the Strip.

The worst service. I won't be coming back to this hotel ever again. The 107 lounge was so rude to my wedding party drinks were brought late or not at all. The manager spilled my bridesmaids drink then rudely blamed her! The restaurant staff threw away my to box and would not remake. So disappointmenting.
