“Comfortable and quiet”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2014

I thought that the location was perfect for the price. I walked to the strip alone and felt safe, it's not that far. I wouldn't wear heels though, it's far enough. lol I loved how close it was to everything that I wanted to be near on the strip. The spa was relaxing and clean. My friend and I hung out at the small and crowded pool. The pool was definitely a negative. Room service food was good. I liked how quick it was to get to the room rather than when you stay at a large casino and have to walk forever to get to your room. Bed and shower were top notch. I would stay again.

we had a very nice stay at the Westin. The staff are very nice, the casino not too large and restaurant had very good food. Just far enough off the strip to be quiet but close enough for a quick walk down to the strip. If you are fussy of your bed, then this is the place to go. The beds are awesome and you never wake with a sore back. We will definately be back.

Room Tip: rooms to the front have the best view

Only 1 block from the strip, it's really not so far out of the way.
Very low key place. Not the typical bright, fancy Vegas style hotel.
I have been to many Westin hotels around the world & this is the typical property - nice, slightly upscale.
The price is less than some of the nicer, more well known hotels.
The rooms are up to date, enough desk space for me to get some work done & still be away from the rest of the room.
A hint - they have a reception each evening where they have - beer, wine, soft drinks, a small assortment of munchies - all free. You just have to know to ask when & where it is.

I have stayed in most of the better hotels on the Strip multiple times. This was my first time at the Westin. Lets review the pluses and the minuses. First plus, this was about 1/3 of the cost of the Venetian/Palazzo and about 1/3 less than the cost of the Wynn. The rooms are fine, normal Westin Standard for any major US city, beds are great and my room was a regular room and plenty large. Plus number two: It is a three block walk to the middle of the Strip. When the High Roller Ferris Wheel and the Link open in a month or so i think the walk will be about the same to that access point between the Flamingo and Harrahs. The Link will be very convenient to the Westin. Plus number 3: . No miles of long hallways to get to your room, take an elevator, and its a short walk to all the rooms. Plus NUmber 4: Small hotel means no giant cab lines. I left at 8AM on a sunday -zero line for a cab, Try that at Venetian or MGM on a Sunday AM. On the minus side, food options are limited, and it does lack any real style-its a Westin. So use the money you didn't spend on the hotel rooms and gamble more!

Room Tip: north view are not facing the street

I checked in yesterday. I was given an early check in to room 310, which was nice. However, the room was in awful shape. The wallpaper was coming off the wall. I mean sheets!!! The phone receiver on cordless phone was not working. The tub was not draining. I spoke to the manager on duty. She changed my room to 1639, but it took 3 hours. No problems. Everything worked. She also gave me 5,000 SPG points for the inconvenience.

The hotel is small and non smoking, with small casino. It is nice to be in Vegas and not wreak of cigarettes! Also, they offer a free happy hour with wine, beer and appetizers daily. Not bad.

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same size. Higher floor rooms have larger windows.

What a great property! If you are platinum you get a nice room, $25 voucher to gamble, free breakfast buffet which is excellent and happy hour with the guests, drinks included! Not only are you a 5 minute walk to Caesars Palace and the Bellagio, the place is just very nice. $3 min. Tables is a plus! Staff very friendly and accommodating to your needs. They'll even call you before you arrive to see if you need anything special!

I chose the Westin being a Starwood member using my points from card. It was to early for check in so i left my bags and continued on with my day. I was greeted like a star and well taken care of. I was offered several perks being a gold member. I found the room clean and cozy, not fond of the color scheme but hard to beat bed. The views are not great from room however you are nicely tucked away from the hustle of the strip. It is a short walk to Las Vegas Blvd. Only three miles from airport and 11/2 miles to convention center. Small area for lounging, decent bar and hard to beat the nightly happy hour (free). The restaurant in hotel is good and prices are in line with the town. I would recommend this place and if i return to Las Vegas i will stay again.

Room Tip: Just ask they are willing to help!
