“Excellent Place Just Off the Strip”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

The Westin is a great place to stay especially if you like things a little less hectic than the hotels on the strip. I booked our room through Priceline for 2 nights and paid $124. There were no fees for Internet or to use the fitness center and pool. Happy hour is served from 5:30 - 6:30 each night and complimentary beer, wine and smacks are served. The snacks included nachos with salsa, cheese platters, veggie platters, focaccia bread, fresh fruit salad, and some hot bruschetta. You could make a light meal of it if you wanted. The hotel staff were friendly and able to accommodated request for 2 double beds. I cant really comment on the casino because not much of a gambler. There is one and it seems to have a little of everything. There is also a bar and restaurant. We haven't eaten here yet. It was a great deal and would definitely stay
here again.

This is my second time at this hotel and I can't think of anything bad to say. We were checked in promptly and they were able to accomadate all of the requests that were made when booking the hotel. The hotel was not packed like all the ones along the strip and the best part - the heavenly beds. They were truly heavenly. The heavenly showers were fantastic as well - two shower heads - perfect for after a long day out on the strip. The hotel also has a pool and spa but we didn't have time for either for this trip. I like that they have fresh fruit in the lobby, and a rental car on the main level. Made it very convenient. The rooms were all smoke free and smelled clean and fresh unlike some of the other hotels where they smell like mold and ash tray. We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel cafe located on the main floor. Excellent service and food. I also liked that they provided complimentary starbucks coffee in the rooms and if you are like me - Americano first thing in the morning, there is a starbucks right on the main floor as well. I would definately come back to this hotel again. Thanks to the staff for the quick and friendly service.

Room Tip: There is no such thing as a bad room. They are all quiet and smoke free. :-)

Great non-smoking hotel option in Las Vegas. They have a Starbucks, there is a convenience store close by and the Hibiscus Spa is first rate, great customer service--they even provide complementary cocktails with your spa treatment! They have great workout facilities and even have a low-cost option to rent exercise clothes, including shoes so you don't have to overr burden your luggage. A little-known bonus is the elevator close by (behind Battista's Hole in the Wall) that goes up to the Flamingo's Monorail station. It's not clearly marked, so it's mostly used only by locals but it saves you a ton of time not having to traipse through the casino every time you want to use the station. The help desk can describe how to get there. Clean, comfortable rooms, decent restaurant called Suede. Nice for a small-time gambler like me is the casino which is just big enough to provide entertainment but not overwhelming. Be sure to enter the slot raffles. Not a lot of people gamble here because it's a little off the Strip and there is no smoking. I was there five days and won something on three of them.

The large hotels are crowded and annoying. My Westin Las Vegas stay was easy and breezy! All around one of the best check-in services I have had at a Starwood property - quick and no hassle. Great perks if you are an SPG Platinum member. Breakfast was good and more than substantial. Pool is small but sufficient. Pool-side drinks are top notch. In-room dining is good with large menu selection. Hallways feel a bit dated but rooms are clean and adequate.

Spent 4 nights here for a conference. Hotel offered standard Westin accommodation - comfortable and quiet rooms ideal for business travelers. Location is off the Strip, offering some respite from it but is only a short walk to all the action. On site Casino is small and intimate, and certainly not worth going out of your way to visit. Views/outlook from rooms is a little disappointing, offering views across car parks and the back of some of the strip hotels. Overall, this is an adequate option but for the price paid you may be better off looking at some of the larger hotels.

I thoroughly enjoyed my few days at this hotel... the location, the facilities, the quiet sleeps when needed, the friendly staff etc.
I have many years of experience in all aspects of tourism and hospitality, and realize that you can't please ALL of the people ALL of the time, however in my opinion, this hotel goes VERY close!

The hotel is immaculate, including the reception area which is big. Check in was a breeze and any staff members I spoke to throughout our stay were friendly and went out of their way to help.

The rooms are spacious, the two double beds are large and really comfortable. The bathroom was quite big, the only downside being the lack of a fan.

The buffet breakfast is pricey at $20 per person, but the choice available and quality of the food was very good.

The pool is small but great and there is lots of seating, both in the sun and in the shade (which was great for my Irish skin). The small bar at the pool was great for much needed refreshments!

The hotel is in a great location, only a couple of minutes walk to Las Vegas Boulevard (the strip). You arrive at the strip with Paris hotel on your left and Flamingo on your right. The block you walk feels slightly run down, but we didn't have any issues when walking it. The monorail station at Ballys is just a minutes walk away and is very handy if you don't want to walk to hotels / casinos further along the strip.

I would definitely stay again :)

Room Tip: We had two rooms on different sides of the hotel, both rooms were great and had equally good views.
