I have to agree with ElizabethS495, the staff at this Starwood property off the strip in Las Vegas was wonderful, but the physical plant is old, tired, and in need of a makeover.

Check-in was effortless, my room was ready and appointed as promised. However, there were very few electrical outlets, and none convenient for charging the cell phone by the bed or near the desk for work (yes, Virginia, some folks *do* work when they go to Lost Wages). This was, after all, a business trip.

The Heavenly beds are just that. Heavenly.

The double-headed shower head would have been a nice touch if the 2nd head actually worked efficiently. A little cleaning of the calcium deposits with some acetic acid (vinegar) could have helped it go more with the flow.

The room was clean, very reasonably priced, and the restaurant and valet staff were terrific. There wasn't much activity in the small casino, so if you prefer not to be the only person at the table you might think about the larger venues on the strip.

We stayed one night here with our two kids. Check in was quick but we had to wait an hour to get two queen beds. Once we got into our room, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. The beds were comfortable and we liked that the shower had duel heads...cool! We really love that most of the hotel was non-smoking.
We got a chance to check out the "happy hour" near the pool. They had free nachos, rolled tacos, cheese, crackers and fruit. Nice spread and just enough to fill our tummies before going to the pool. The pool was pretty small and a bit deep for anyone who can't swim so use caution when going. Kids had fun and we relaxed. We even returned to the pool at night. One thing we didn't like was that there were no towels in the evening. We waited over an hour before anyone came. It would be nice if more attendants would check the pool area. Other than that, it was a nice stay and we would come back again.

My partner and I had the hot rate from Starwood hotels to stay a few nights at the Westin in Las Vegas... Great location one block of the strip, Great staff very friendly and helpful and clean! The only complaint I have is the two female Roulette dealers one blonde and one hispanic lady... The Hispanic lady also felt the need to tell us all her views on homosexuality and that we shouldn't raise children... NOT COOL! We had one gal that was great ...brunette girl with an odd name... and the guys were fun but the blonde and hispanic lady were rude and awful and acted like we were inconveniencing them by spending our money... these girls were dealing the second night we were there and we didn't bet at the hotel again after that...Over all GREAT experience and Stellar service... food was great in the hotel too!

Room Tip: Don't pay for the "upgraded view" it's not as amazing as the website makes it out...

My husband had a business meeting at the Westin Las Vegas and without researching it we booked our weekend stay in the same locale. We were extremely disappointed. This is the hotel that time and attention forgot. The lobby smelled stale and old, the carpets were faded, the lights dim. Even the flower arrangements on the table in the main entry had dead, brown flowers. Our room was extremely small, the carpets were faded and dirty, and the decor was just old and worn. This was not what we expected from a Westin, especially given the cost of the room ($189/night). After 5 minutes in our room, we decided to leave, and this is where the experience improved. We explained our dislikes to the very nice gentleman at the front desk (I am sorry that I don't know his name). Instead of arguing with us, he simply asked if there was anything he could do to make it right and then refunded our money in full. He summoned the manager to approve the refund, and the manger simply apologized and offered his assistance in finding us other accomodations. Frankly, we expected a fight, and instead were greeted with professionalism and true customer service. While we will not retrun to this Westin, the company as a whole has not lost our business. The staff should be commended on a job well done.

This hotel is just like every other Westin. First class, but just about 1.5 blocks off the strip. It's NOT a giant over the top Vegas hotel, but it is a first class hotel all the way. Lovely staff, great room, short walk to the Strip. Don't miss the hot dog and beer/soda special at the bar just down off the corner. I hear the Italian restaurant attached is fantastic as well. We'd come back!

This hotel is very clean and family friendly. The food is good and the rooms are comfortable. The air conditioner was very cool. The best part of our stay was the beds. They have the so called westin heavenly beds and they are truly out of this world. There's also a pool, very nice and clean. The hotel staff was attentive and very welcoming. We had the facility of the renting a car in the hotel facilities. Our experience was great and the location is just two blocks away from the Las Vegas Strip.
