Stayed at Harrahs for the price. September is convention month so there are no real "deals" to be found. Check in easy at 11pm on a Thursday however requested non-smoking room that was not available. Put us in smoking room for night and told us to check back the next day - nothing he could do (dissapointed). Room was in Mardi Gras tower (17th floor) but NOT renovated but not too bad smoky smell. Small view of strip but really how long are you in room for? Moved us next morning with a $30 voucher for restaurants for trouble. Newer room was much nicer - decor and beds. However, it was more noisy - glass not as thick and hallway noise much louder (could just be higher traffic?). Hotel staff generally ok. Conveniently located across from Forum shops, next to Venetian shops and not far from TI for show. Nice that it is a monorail stop. Not a huge hotel so easy to get from front to back. Ate at cafe - ok food - not overly reasonable. Ate at Buffet - really nice - $22.99 not a bad price for the quality of food and desserts. Did not gamble here but good selection of slots.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during January 2007 and it was fabulous.

The rooms were large (stayed in the carnivale) tower, well presented and clean.

One of the best points of this hotel (and the reason we chose it) is its location, right in the centre of the strip!

Paid $140 Aus per night

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Our first trip to Vegas and would definitely go back to stay at Harrahs.

Got very sick after Harrahs bufffet, but may well have been due to overeating!

Extremely good location combined with large clean room in Carnival Tower made our Las Vegas trip a success. Stayed there 9/6/07 - 9/8/07
on the 6th floor with no view but we didn't care since we spent few waking hours there. Check in was a snap and free self-parking in covered garage were pluses. We paid $69 for the 1st night and $79 for the 2nd night on Internet Christmas in Summer package. Heard some
whooping & hollering by some excited guests but didn't last long and hey...it's VEGAS.

Paid $6 for a Bud Light at Toby Keith's bar which was more expensive than the mini-bar beer cost. Ate most meals elsewhere so cannot provide a review, except for breakfast which was enjoyed at the in-house Starbuck's.

$5 per person all day Deuce bus pass was worth it. However, we were not overly impressed with the downtown light show. Bus stop was less than 1/2 block away.

Overall we would recommend Harrah's.

We stayed at Harrah's August 22-25. We arrived early in the morning and couldn't get a room yet, but the people that helped us both times for check in were very nice and helpful. We got in our room around 4:00 and it was a wonderful room. Loved everything about it esp. the t.v. in the bathroom. Everything was clean and the bed was the most comfortable I've slept in, loved the bedding too. Won a little in the casino (play only slots) and the drink service was great too. We've taken many trips to Vegas and stayed at different places each time. We have now decided Harrah's may be our only choice from now on, nice place to stay and a great location. We ate at the buffet almost every morning and the food was really good~looked forward to breakfast every day. We saw the comedian at O'Shea's while there~totally recommend this show too-it was very entertaining. I can't remember the guys name, but he was really funny! We rented a car for 2 of the days that we were in Vegas and I liked that, but with the monorail being right at Harrah's it's not something you'd need to do. Needless to say-we enjoyed our stay at Harrah's and look forward to a return trip soon!

GF & I stayed at Harrah's 8/19 - 8/24, 2007

Arrival and checkin was smooth at 9:00 am. The desk clerk offered an upgrade to a Jr. Suite for $50 additional per day or a full suite for $100 additional per day. I declined and felt a standard room at our rate $45 per day was just fine.

I asked for a renovated room and they accommodated. The clerk said the ONLY renovated rooms are in the Mardi Gras tower. So apparently Carnaval Tower is not renovated yet. Clerk asked if we wanted to be near the noise (Carnaval Court which is a fun bar between Harrah's and Imperial Palace) or away from the noise with a partial Strip View. We chose the strip view and had a view of Mirage and the Volcano, TI and part of the Venetian.

The renovated room was great. Not overly large but all we needed was a bed and table. All new furniture and wall and floor coverings. Bathroom was big enough with a large enough counter for her stuff and mine. New flat screen TV in the room and a flat screen wall mounted TV in the bathroom. (ESPN while shaving every morning)

Room had a new wall mounted safe and mini-bar. Didn’t use the mini-bar but the $5.00 per beer was no worse than what you would pay elsewhere in LV. Our room on our side of the hotel also had a little balcony. Doors opened and you could step outside. It was only about 18 inches or so deep but enough room to stand on and enjoy the view.

Harrah's is mid-strip, across from Caeser's Palace, so very convenient to walk in either direction.

Casino is very active and cocktail service was excellent during our stay.

We ate one night at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill and enjoyed the food. BBQ chicken wings were great and a huge portion.

There is a Starbucks across from TKs where we got coffee each morning and it is only a few steps from the pool.

If you are contemplating Harrah’s be aware that the pool area is small. We never had a problem getting poolside chairs though they were mostly gone by 9:00 am.

This was our second stay at Harrah’s and definitely would go back. Great location and good value

Have stayed at many places in Vegas through the years and Harrah's was great.
Our room was in the Mardi Gras section and would compare to the room and bedding of the Golden Nugget downtown , just smaller. Bedding was top notch and room had a view of the strip. Location can't be beat, being right in the heart of the strip.
Only cons: room was not hot but could have been a little cooler at night (it was 106 degrees outside) and there were absolutely no waitresses. Stayed in the casino the entire first day playing game tables or slots and was approached twice for cocktails. Harrah's had the least comp drinks offered of any casino we visited. But - would I stay there again? You bet! For me it's all about location, location, location and an extra compfy bed for the weary.

This was our first stay at Harrah's and it was wonderful. The room was huge, clean and very quiet. The only thing about going to Las Vegas is the Taxi service, they scam you every time. They drive you out & about instead of going the shortest and fastest way to your hotel. There should be something done about this dishonest transportation problem. Beware of the Taxi Drivers !
