“Good value for money hotel”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

Check in was very long with minimal staff on the desk. Room was very good, large bed and spacious room. Great location and very affordable. The downfalls was there was no seating in the lobby or the hotel to sit and relax which didn't involve gambling or eating. There was no wifi in the hotel unless you paid a high price and only one public phone hidden behind the lobby. The breakfast included was at Star bucks with very little variety unless you want salad for breakfast.

To be honest, there is nothing much to write about the hotel. I have read some other reviews and agree to most of the comments. The staff is indifferent and there is nothing called service in this hotel, but I guess, it would be true with most of them unless you are a guest at the Bellagio or the Venetian. The choice of restaurants is better next door at the Venetian, but I did like the service at their Chinese restaurant. In short they really do not like you spending more time in your room or at a restaurant. The hotel just wants you on one of their gambling tables.

I'm not much into big cities, so I had a quiet stay; which who would think that I could get away from the city the never sleeps? The beds were dreamy, it was like sleeping on a cloud and not to mention the hotel room was very clean! I slept Very soundly and if you've been to Vegas, you know how loud it can be! I found the television in the bathroom to be humorous. A negative about this place was the maze to get your car parked. You meander and meander and dodge crazy zippy cars to get to the garage, but what else is new in big cities? Harrahs was a great comfortable stay!

Overall my family had a good experience at Harrah’s. The room was clean and parking was very easy. The staff at the hotel was helpful with my questions and friendly, especially the nice ladies working the Keno area. They made sure my wife had a good time and took the time to ensure she understood how to play. My daughter enjoyed the large bath tub to soak in. We are on a tighter vacation budget this year and the location on the strip was one of the reasons we decided to stay at this hotel. There is an access station for the metro monorail at the hotel that we used to go to the MGM and Luxor hotels. We were in walking distance of the Venetian/Palazzo hotel where we had several meals and did a little shopping. It is also close to the Bellagio hotel to watch the dancing fountains. A few things could have been better. First, the room temperature was too warm, even with the A/C set T 65 degrees, and it make sleeping uncomfortable at night. The walls were a little thin and we could hear people talking next door to us. We also wish we could have used the refrigerator in the room. We did have left over’s from Ruth’s Chris steakhouse we could of brought back to the room. The drawer space was also very limited for clothing. Harrah’s is currently building a new huge Ferris wheel behind the hotel that is similar to the London Eye. This should be a huge attraction once it is completed. Because of the location and price I recommend this hotel.

We’re sorry to hear of your poor experience. We certainly do appreciate feedback from our guests. We are confident that our hotel staff will work diligently to prevent a future recurrence, and provide the superior service that is indicative of Harrah's.

Booked the hotel through booking.com because it was relatively cheap for a hotel somewhat in the middle of the strip.
Check in queue was a little long.
Room was spacious and it was facing the back of another hotel but we had a pretty good view of the Mirage Volcano.
Couldn't get any free wifi which was a bummer.
The room came with breakfast which was a Starbucks voucher of USD9/person.
If you're looking for tours to Grand Canyon, I would suggest skipping the tour desk here cause it's slightly more expensive. Saw cheaper alternatives nearer the fashion show mall and southwards towards MGM Grand. Booked mine at planet hollywood.

An older hotel. No in-room coffee maker, but two Starbucks in the hotel made for $12 coffee bill each morning. Use the second floor Starbucks-shorter line. Free shuttle to the Rio was great for the night we went to a show there. A/c in room was motion-activated-took awhile for room to cool down after we had been out. Casino smokier here than most of the newer casinos. Not sure what the resort fee was for. Pool area very small-be out there early or no chair for you! We sat up on the upper level and cooled off in the fountain area. If you want to be in the center of the strip-this is the place to be!
