“Cheap but in need of renovation”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013

The best thing you can say about this hotel is that it's cheap. We stayed for 4 nites over Christmas week and paid $142, tax included. But you get what you pay for. Our room, #1414 in the Mardis Gras tower, overlooked the back of the Casino Royale. and was in dire need of remodeling. The bathroom is cramped and grungy, the bathtub is unusable for anyone over 4 feet tall and the shower head was about even with my neck (I'm 6'2" tall). The bed was comfortable however. I think the housekeeping staff limits their tasks to making the bed and placing the towels back on the racks. There was a skid mark from the previous occupant(s) on the bottom of the toilet bowl when we arrived and a nickel laying on the bathroom floor (also from previous occupant) never moved during our four night stay, proving that the floor was never cleaned. On the plus side, the hotel is in an excellent location across from Caesars and the Mirage. The Flavors buffet iss a decent value for breakfast. Use your Total Rewards card for a small discount on the price. There's no wi-fi in the hotel, only a corded connection that costs $10/day.

I've stayed at Harrah's twice before our most recent trip. It's a decent hotel with a great location. But during our most recent trip, we had the worst time checking in. Normally, we arrive in Vegas early afternoon, but this time, we didn't arrive until 10PM. We waited over an hour to get through the check in line and once we got to the front, the luxury strip view room we reserved was not available. Once we finally got the room situation settled (20 min later), we arrived to our room to find that our key didn't work. The gal gave us the wrong room number. She also didn't place my credit card on file to charge to the room (although she asked me if I wanted to and took my credit card). There were a lot of little things that really annoyed me about the trip, but the biggest issue I had was with the check in line. I don't think we'll stay there again.

We stayed here for 5 days in January of 2012 and it was a great experience. It is in a perfect location right in the middle of the strip. It is right across the street from the mirage and Caesars palace. It has a great restaurant inside called KGB burger that has killer burgers. It also has an oyster and vodka bar. For the money I was perfectly happy here. It's really only a place to sleep. You can go into any hotel and enjoy any part of the hotels bars, clubs, and restaurants. It's a great place and Vegas in general is amazing!

This was my 3rd trip to Harrah's and my first at Christmas time. Check in was very quick using the Total Rewards Card Line(which you can sign up for before check in.) Room was just as we picked, was clean and comfortable. Was surprised that no Christmas decorations about and looked like any other time of year. Helpful friendly staff. Only problem was room cards didn't always work and had them changed a few times. Harrah's is centrally located on the strip, with easy access to everything. Good prices, and using Rewards Card does save you a few bucks here and there. I will stay here again next time.

Have not stayed here in because were staying at Rio but wanted to get back to strip area.
Always have liked the Hotel and wanted to re-vist the strip area and try their machines. Very happy with the trip as the slots were kind to me and found self parking very handy to get to your room although with the construction it was hard to find the entrance to Harrahs and drove around to the backside and was diffucult there also. Building a new shopping center behind Harrahs.
Payed extra for strip veiw room in MardiGras tower but with the building that has been done your veiw is very limited (narrow) like a beach veiw room and you only see 3 feet of the ocean:).
The room clean, a bit small but was happy except for towels were in much need of Downey fabric softner and all towels were very old!
ALL in all great place to stay food was fine except the Cafe hours are very confusing and looked closed mist of the time there.

Our recent stay at Harrah's was not one that I want to remember! The rooms are clean, but nothing special. It's location on the strip is a big plus. During this stay my cell phone was stolen by a Harrah's employee. After going to great lengths: calling security, filling out a report, calling to follow up, nothing was done. With there being a camera right overhead, I felt sure the culprit would be found out. Long story short... we won't be staying at Harrah's again!

Harrah's is always a good location on the LV Blvd. For the price, you can't beat it. The rooms do have an issue if you have a door adjoining rooms...you can hear your neighbors loud and clear. However, based on the cost (less than $50 for 2 nights) it was the perfect hotel.
