stayed there for 3 nights.big pros: central on the strip and no resort fee! location matters for both daytime sightseeing and nigh life, u can have them both fast and accesible from Harrah`s.decent buffet and overall they give u back exactly what u pay for... @ 34$/night all u can ask is a clean place to sleep and a nice shower.fancy travellers should refrain....your needs are better met in other hotels.

Harrah's hotel and casino is in a prime location close to everything. It is worth upgrading to the "luxury" room, as the "classic" is outdated, tired, and has an old t.v. with a poor picture. The buffet and the coffee shop are both over priced, and the buffet is a poor value with service that is the same. You are much better off to cross the street to forum shops in caesars and take in a great restaurant called the cheesecake factory. The hotel is good for the price, but make a wise decision to eat and drink elsewhere.

This is a great hotel. The restaurants and buffet were very good and the casino was large enough but the best was the location on the strip. Located across from the Mirage volcano and just a 5-10 min walk to the Bellagio fountains, the Venetian,Paris,Caesars palce,Treasure island,Mirage, and more. The cost was also lower than all those listed so stay here and enjoy all the others with just a small walk.

We stayed at Harrah's Las Vegas for 6 night while attending a trade show. In the past I've stayed at the Imperial Palace, MGM Grand and the Residence Inn.
Harrah's rooms were ok and the service was friendly. We were in the Mardi Gras tower but co workers were in the Carnival Tower so we had a chance to ride all the elevators and see several rooms. On most every evening at least one elevator was not running. Two of my friends had doors that didn't shut when you walked out so you had to be sure the door was closed. One night a friend returned and found the door still ajar and the light switch inside the room not working. She freaked and called security. They came and checked the room out. Seemed the bulb was burned out and the door didn't shut all the way when the maid left. If they'd had a light bulb they could have changed it because the ceiling is so low a lady on a chair could change a light bulb. But they didn't have a bulb. All was good. The next day, even after being asked, they still didn't change the bulb, but at least the maid had shut the door. My wife was NOT happy about this sort of thing. She hated it.
The casino like the rooms was sort of confined and cramped. Located on the strip we were able to walk most places or take the mono rail.
Best thing is the price. We were able to get rooms for $35 to $90 depending on the night of the week. I’d stay at Harrah’s again but I really liked the MGM much better and the Imperial Palace worse.

I am obliged to go to Las Vegas every 2 years for a convention. This hotel if booked through AGODA 3 months before arrival is quite reasonable=value for $. Go to the oyster bar!! it is fantastic- when there 2 years ago and had the same great food and experience- of course have the oysters but definitely try the sea scallops wrapped in bacon on a thin sliced toast with caramelized onions!!-- the best thing is security is excellent... I left 2 passports in the safe-box and 14 hours later recovered all the documents and cash as well-- kudos

Because of the location of the safe box - not in a usual place in cupboard with clothes or by the fridge- you might forget to check it- I suggest a sticker on the back of the door - reminder "check the safe"

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights, in the De Lux Room, which i booked over internet for the very good price. The room was very big, with comfortable and big bed, and big bathroom. Room was very clean and good equipped. It overlooked the swimming pool. On each floor there is a vending machine and ice machine. I did not spent to much time during check in since i arrived at 20h, and the staff at the reception were very polite. After the reception you need to pass casino area before you get to the elevators. And almost every time there was an elevator waiting in the Lobby area.
The good thing is, there is no resort fee for Harrah's hotel.
I did not breakfast in the hotel because it was a little bit expensive, but above all you need to wait for at least 30 minutes to be sited. FOr the breakfast i suggest the McDonald just near the hotel or Subway.
Hotel is located on the Strip and close to all other hotels and attractions, and it offers direct connection to the metro line. Taxi from the Airport was 22$.
Very interesting casino area.

Stayed at Harrahs for two nights in October 2012. Very nice recently upgraded rooms with very comfortable beds and pillows --LOVED the Pillows!! Nice baths with coffee pot and hairdyers. Had a mini frig available for $50.00- we did not use it. Everything was clean and staff were wonderful. Very happy for the price. Located in the middle of Las vegas - location was great. We went to two shows at Harrahs - Caveman and Legends and they were great!! Down side- Very busy casino with a lot of noise and outside entertainment that goes on till the wee mornings but we didnt hear anything in our room but we were on a top floor. Of course this is LAS VEGAS. we ate at both the cafe and buffet and enjoyed both. This is not a top of the line hotel but it is very nice and most people would be happy here. Have fun!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor so you wont here any noise
