“Fantastic Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

I checked in after waiting in a very short line and was greeted warmly. The woman who helped me walked me through everything perfectly with additional information about local events as well as events in the hotel. The room I was given in the tower was excellent, very clean, smelled good, and everything was working perfectly. I ate in the cafe and the buffet during my stay and was very pleased. If I was a little better at gambling my stay would have been perfect but that is not the hotels fault. I could not recommend the Luxor more highly. I will be back.

Room Tip: Stay in the tower. I was on the upper floor and it was almost silent.

if you want the strip experience Luxor is the last place you want to do it from. Only wired wifi included in resort charge no good for iPads or phones or many modern laptops. rooms old and worn check in can be an hour or two? no real porter service. resort chafe compulsory even though didn't want any of the services offered. my advice stay somewhere else spend the extra bit of money.

Room Tip: stay in another Hotel

I got a last minute hotels.com deal on a Sunday. It was a really good value for a nice room and dinner credit included. Nice place. Clean and modern. Front desk and other staff were very nice. Wish we had time to enjoy the pool. Looked awesome! We ate at Rice & Co. Good food but staff wasn't as friendly and service was slow. It was cold inside too. I like that Luxor, Excaliber and Mandalay Bay are all connected by inside walkways.

Luxor is a great place to stay if you want value for money. I really couldn't fault the staff or the hotel. It was very clean and modern. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a nice comfortable stay in Las Vegas

We chose the Luxor for my daughter's 21st birthday trip for a few reasons. The first was the pool, and the second was the price and location. The rooms were ok, I think they need to do some up keep, but overall they are clean and nice. The beds are very comfortable. The people who work at the casino are amazing. Everyone was a smile and a how are you enjoying your stay, from the check in people to the service men walking around working fixing things. The steakhouse had great food, and the LAX was a great club according to the 21 year old. Gaming was nice and spacious and not overcrowded. We got a cabana at the pool midweek and it was reasonable for the service. Pool service was great. Nice place to stay, we enjoyed being able to walk between three hotels without going outside, or taking the monorail that was available to any of the three. We will stay here again.

We stayed in the west tower. You can't hear people in the hallway at night! That is worth any price to me. Far from everything though. We parked Excalibur self parking because it was closer than the Luxor's self parking. Staff there is super helpful. We ate at their buffet, and found it to be just like the Circus Circus. ( which isn't too bad or anything, but it isn't too good or anything.) We ate at Craving at Mirage and found it great! Also the Beatles Love. The only reason we didn't stay Mirage was they have thin room doors and I hear people rambling in hallway all night instead of sleeping. But Luxor has tons of space and an overall clean feeling all around the property. Plus the decor is cool. You feel like an Egyptian king with all the statues and fountains in and around the casino.

Room Tip: Room in west tower are close to parking at Excalibur so no walking through the casino to wait for va...

We stayed here as part of a package so we cannot comment on the price. The location is not good as it was in the far south of the strip so everything is abit further away from you, would have preferred to be next door to everything. There is a shuttle bus though which takes you down the strip called "The Deuce" or STX which stops at most hotels and it runs 24 hours which is handy. The hotel is massive, we had a little trouble when we arrived as got dropped off at the back of hotel and we got frustrated trying to find directions to the check in. Check in was fine, we had a room the 5th floor, the room and corridors are abit rough around the edge. Needs a lick of paint and color, the design is meant to be in the theme of aztecs and pyramids so I guess its not modern and slick.

The room was large (also the furniture) and spacious and enough for a family of 4, bed is a good size and soo comfy! Everything is functional and had mostly everything you need apart from they dont have t/c facilities :(. The aircon is very noisy but does its job though, the temperature is easily adjustable and blast much needed cold air out especially on a super hot day. The shower is big but the water dribbles and splashes.. not a good power shower. The windows need a good scrub, they were so dirty.. we had a view of Mandalay bay.

The hotel has so much things on - the casino obviously, there is also shows, restaurants and shops in the lobby which is really handy. So many things to see and do. We had some hours to chill by the pool, there is 3 little pools and lots of chairs to relax on there is also a poolside bar which we had the opportunity to enjoy some cocktails at. We did have a swim but just a little comment, they should really regularly clean the pool as there was alot of dirt in the water which isn't really attractive. Some people didn't like the loud music that was played, I liked it though but possibly could be turned down a little for residants who just want to sit with a book.

Service was good here, this is definately a busy hotel and with lots different people around but they coped very well. Very informative and well organised. Overall I did enjoy my stay, maybe this is not my usual taste of hotels but thats my choice. Thanks for the stay.
