Always stay at the Luxor when I am in Vegas. Near the airport and Mandalay Bay. Great rates and rooms. Casino and more. Check out the shows. Friendly staff. Will stay there again? Join the M Group and get signed up for email specials that will save you tins

Room Tip: Pyramid rooms are the best and overlook all activities

This hotel is at one end of the Strip so it's not in the "hot zone". Perhaps it's not as elaborate as some of the others but it is still very nice. Taxi to hotel and back to airport was $15.50 and $13.50 respectively. It's connected to the two adjacent resorts so there is lots of variety in eating and shopping without going outside. (When we were there the official temp was about 115 deg F but out on the Strip it was probably closer to 125 - 130 deg!)

Bus transit access for the Strip was right on front of the hotel in both directions. Convenient. We did not go off of the Strip into the rest of Las Vegas.

We stayed in the West Tower. The room was nice, common areas were clean. Walls and doors lacked sound proofing so with people returning to their rooms at all hours, I woke up often. No fridge. Bath tub was separate from the shower and the shower was BIG. Lots of room and if you like a high pressure wash, then this shower is for you. If you didn't keep moving, it would actually hurt!

We saw The Menopause Show at our resort. I'm not into musicals but this one was hilarious! We also saw Jersey Boys at the Paris. It was not hilarious. We also did a one day bus trip to Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. That was a long day!

The outdoor pool area was big but it was too hot to spend that time outside. We didn't use the spa facilities but they looked nice. Concierge desk was very helpful... don't be afraid to use it. It's right beside check in/out.

There are sales people out on the casino floor offering free, or reduced rate, show tickets. I can't believe he suckered me into hearing his speech. We didn't feel like going to see a Time Share!

Stayed in the Luxor for 11 nights in May.Hotel room was basic but clean. Air conditioning and vanilla aroma in Hotel made our eyes water. Pool area comfortable but on some days only one pool was open as they did not have enough life guards. At weekends the music was very loud and suited to teenagers, my friend had to use ear-plugs!!! Not so relaxing...We looked at the buffet in the hotel but decided not to partake. Food court was very basic, fried food mostly and staff were rude. Obviously not happy in their job. Other restaurants over-priced. Found an Irish bar/restaurant between the Luxor and Mandalay and ended up eating there most nights.(Ri Ra) We live in Ireland and never usually go to Irish bars when travelling as we have enough of them at home but it had good food and a great atmosphere. Hotel shops are expensive compared with supermarkets on the strip. We had a late flight home on the day we were leaving so asked if there was a room we could have a shower before leaving and were told no! Awful after being in 100 degree heat all day and then doing on an 11 hour flight to London followed by a flight to Ireland. Apologies to fellow travellers on the flight! Reception staff at the hotel were very brusque and there was not that all American helpfulness that we have experienced in other parts of the USA! Also could not believe the price of a bottle of wine with dinner in a wine growing country, 40 dollars minimum. We can buy a bottle of US wine at home for 14 dollars. Am I missing something? All in all the Luxor was basic but provided with a bed to sleep in!

Myself and my husband spent a week in this hotel (from 9-16 June). We stayed in the pyramid which we were delighted with. The rooms are very spacious and well decorated. One recommendation would be the buffet breakfast. We ate there for four out of our 7 days there. On our last day check out was at 11am, I explained to the receptionist that our flight was an evening flight so they allowed us an early check out for $40 and we could stay in the same room. This was a big plus for us.

Big thank you for making our stay an enjoyable one.

Room Tip: We were in the pyramid on 4th floor where we had access to free wifi!

We stayed here six years ago in one of the tower rooms and were so delighted that we decided to stay here again. This time we were given a pyramid room and it wasn't half as nice. Though the beds were very comfortable the rooms badly need a refurb - paintwork on doors seemed to have been brushed over to hide scuffs etc. The booking clerk was efficient but not welcoming and a far cry from the New York lady who booked us in six years ago. I have stayed in a few strip hotels including the Bellagio and would have always rated the Luxor as up there with the others but this time I was disappointed. There is a major refurb going on in the casino with new carpets being laid and I hope the rooms are also on their agenda.
The buffet is excellent but breakfast served on cold plates!! Why? By the time we sat down our food was cold and it was the ruination of an otherwise good meal; such a small and easily addressed issue. Overall it was still ok but don't think I would recommend it as eagerly as I did before this stay. Sorry.

Room Tip: Ask for a tower room

The hotel have hiden resort fees, with for 6 days is $115 and you must pay for it. Very bad sigarette smell in the rooms (checked four of them). Towels are old, instead white they are more yellow. Horrible elavators, sigarette smell (specially on top floors if piramide). Poor service! This hotel is big mistake then you in Las Vegas!
